The medicine show comes to town, and with it Inkblot Hurricane, a man who weaves a tale painted in carnival colors of a generation ago. From poet-author Hurricane, aka Martin Abramson, comes "Promenade", a wondrous collection of poems, song & blues penned between the early 1960s & the present day. Though distinctly American in its rhythms & language, his poetry traverses half a tumultuous century & much of the globe. Other highlights from the year included winning the Grammy Award for “Best Long Form Music Video” for the film Big Easy Express, and having their classic single, “Wagon Wheel”, receive the RIAA's Platinum certification for selling over 1,000,000 copies.

On September 14, 2014, Constance Cooper will appear as a soloist in the 9/11 Cultural Festival in a solo set of poems about violence and loss by the Polish Nobel-prizewinning poet Wyslawa Szymborska. Miss Cooper will play her signature setup, a piano and an electric keyboard tuned a quartertone apart, used for its remarkable ability to capture the elusive quasi-pitches of the speaking voice.
