MTV announced today the pick-up of a second season of its hit series 'Catfish: The TV Show'. Following the success of Rogue Pictures and Relativity Media's critically acclaimed 2010 documentary-thriller 'Catfish,' the MTV series 'Catfish: The TV Show' tackles the mystery and complexities of dating in a digital world.

MTV continues to surge on Monday nights with "Catfish: The TV Show" and season three of "Teen Mom 2" as they ranked as Monday's #1 and #2 original cable series among P12-34 for the third consecutive week. Additionally, in its 11PM time period "Catfish: The TV Show" was the #1 non-sports show among P12-34 and the #1 show amongst W12-34 across all of television. According to Trendrr, "Catfish: The TV Show" ranked as the most social original cable television series on Monday night followed by "Teen Mom 2".

Each of the 12 hour-long episodes will be an emotional voyage to discover the truth about his or her significant other, with the journeys filled with mystery, surprises, and sometimes even shocking revelations. The series has not yet been assigned an airdate.
