On June 23rd at 1:00 PM, the Amazing Max (Magician Max Darwin) will be presenting a special performance of The Amazing Max and the Box of Interesting Things for children with special needs. This sensory-friendly presentation of the hit Off-Broadway show will be adjusted to the sensitivities of children with autism and other special needs. Handicap accessible seating will be available, as well as a quiet area reserved for any children who may feel overwhelmed during the performance.

Last week marked the official, one-year anniversary of BroadwayWorld Jr. I took a moment to look back on the first few shows I took my kids to see last year. My daughter, then six, was young enough to enjoy children's theatre designed for actual children and my son, then two, was too young to enjoy anything. Now I find my theatre-going family is moving on to the next stage. Later this week, my almost-eight-year-old and I will catch a preview of Lysistrata Jones, and my little guy is over the moon excited to see more shows with Mommy.

OBERON THEATRE ENSEMBLE is pleased to announce their series AMERICAN RAPTURE, which includes Hello Out There by William Saroyan and world premiere plays by Alex Dinelaris (nominated Lucile Lortel/Drama Desks), directed by Alex Dinelaris. AMERICAN RAPTURE plays a three-week limited engagement at the Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row (410 W 42nd St). Performances begin Saturday, February 14th and continue through Sunday, March, 1st. An evening of short plays, some humorous, some tragic, explore the unique mixture of loneliness and hope, which make up the American Experience. Playwright/director Alex Dinelaris, who was nominated for a Lucille Lortel (Best Musical) and two Drama Desk Awards (Book & Lyrics) for his work on the off-Broadway hit, ZANNA DON?T!, weaves his way through modern relationships, religious hypocrisy, love, loss and the endless cycle of violence that threatens to swallow our society whole. The evening culminates with William Saroyan?s Hello Out There, the powerful tale of two outcasts who find love at the most unlikely of times, in the most unlikely of places. AMERICAN RAPTURE will be presented in conjunction with William Shakespeare?s Much Ado About Nothing, as part of Oberon Theatre Ensemble?s Winter Rep 09. Fraser in 'Chaos Theories' by Dinelaris, Begins 10/25

The Chaos Theories, the critically-acclaimed urban comedy presented by Shotgun Productions in association with The Resistance Theatre Company, is scheduled to open November 1 at the McGinn/Cazale Theater. Written by two-time Drama Desk nominee Alexander Dinelaris, the play will have a four-week run Wednesdays-Saturdays through November 17.
