The New England Center for the Performing Arts presents their Spring Gala, A Broadway Evening, on Saturday, May 21 at 6:00 p.m. at Lake Pearl Luciano's in Wrentham. U.S. Senator Scott Brown will attend the event as a special guest.

ROCK OF AGES, the critically acclaimed, five-time Tony Award® nominated Broadway musical, which continues to play to packed houses on Broadway, across the United States in its first national tour and in Toronto, will open at the Comedy Theatre in Melbourne, Australia on Saturday, April 9, 2011.

The producers of the hit musical ROCK OF AGES announced today that frontman for the 80's sensation Twisted Sister, Dee Snider, will make his Broadway debut in the role of 'Dennis' for an 11-week limited run, October 11- December 24, 2010 at The Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street).

As BroadwayWorld has reported, Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis will perform for the last time as 'Drew' on Broadway Thursday, September 9 before headlining the First National Tour of ROCK OF AGES, debuting in Chicago on September 21. Joey Taranto will take over the role of 'Drew' at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street). Additional cast changes include Mitchell Jarvis playing his final performance as 'Lonny' on Sunday, September 5 and taking over the role of 'Stacee Jaxx' from James Carpinello, who will play his final performance on a date to be determined. Jay Klaitz, recently of Lend Me a Tenor, to begin performances as 'Lonny' on Monday, September 6. BroadwayWorld has learned that joining Maroulis on tour are Joey Calveri, Erika Shannon, Angela Brydon, Casey Tuma and Burn the Floor's MiG Ayesa, who will be assuming the role of Stacee Jaxx.

Last night, August 5, the ROCK OF AGES Broadway cast and members of the newly announced touring cast partied together at BB Kings in Times Square to live 80's tunes by Lipstick & Leather, in addition to additional rock band cover singers. Producers of the five-time Tony Award nominated hit musical, ROCK OF AGES announced that Josephine Rose Roberts will take over the role of 'Regina,' beginning tonight, Monday, August 2, 2010 at 8pm. Roberts comes to Broadway after playing the role of 'Regina' at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto. She takes over the role from Lauren Molina, who played her final performance Sunday, August 1, 2010 at 7:30pm.

Yesterday evening, June 7, cast members from ROCK OF AGES performed songs from their Tony nominated musical outside The Hard Rock Cafe as part of the 17th annual 'Taste Of Times Square' event sponsored by the Times Square Alliance. BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the performance.

In a show of semi-permanent appreciation, ROCK OF AGES honored of one of its most dedicated fans and winner of its holiday 'Deck the Halls Extreme Rock' contest, Gavin Knox, this month. For the Christmas challenge, the production invited fans to submit a performance video of a holiday carol, sung in the rockin' style of the hit show. The winner was selected by ROCK OF AGES cast members, including Constantine Maroulis, Kerry Butler, and James Carpinello. The prize package included a pair of tickets to the performance, a backstage tour, a curtain call ovation, dinner for two at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square, a copy of the original cast recording, and a Temptu tattoo, applied by the show's make-up artist, worn by the cast members on stage each night.

After having understudied the role since Monday, November 16, 2009 and performing nightly as 'Waitress #1' at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street), Ms. Padgett will star opposite Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis. The stars of Broadway's ROCK OF AGES have banded together to raise funds for World Vision, a humanitarian fund that has been in Haiti for 30 years in an effort to contribute to the country's relief. Stars Kerry Butler, Lauren Molina and James Carpinello introduce the fundraiser in the video below. The production will be auctioning off items, the first of which is a backstage tour with Butler. The five-time Tony nominated hit musical, ROCK OF AGES has announced that beginning Sunday, January 10, 2010, ROCK OF AGES will be changing its Sunday performance schedule to 3pm and 7:30pm. Previously, Sunday shows were at 2pm and 7pm.
