The NY Indie Theatre Film Festival kicks off its 2019 edition in one week on February 8 with the New York festival premiere of Poor Behavior, the film directorial debut by Theresa Rebeck, based on her play of the same name.

Before he was collaborating on EDM hits with Demi Lovato and Fetty Wap, Trevor Dahl was making music on his own terms. With the rapid rise of Cheat Codes with bandmates Kevin Ford and Matthew Russell, the trio has also made it a priority to also focus on their own creative endeavors. Now, going by his surname Dahl will be making music as “Dahl” in a project parallel to Cheat Codes, returning to his solo roots.

The group have seen a meteoric rise since they first formed in LA two years ago. Their tropical infused re-work of the Salt N Pepa classic “Sex”, has generated half a billion streams on Spotify. “No Promises” featuring Demi Lovato proved to be the song of summer 2017 - reaching 4x platinum status globally with over 600 million cumulative streams. The group's follow-up radio single, “Feels Great” featuring Fetty Wap has moved over 1 million global equivalents to date including over 100 million streams on Spotify alone.

The Public Theater's free Shakespeare in the Park production of Much Ado About Nothing officially opened tlast night, Monday, June 16. The production will run through Sunday, July 6. Obie Award winner Hamish Linklater and Tony Award nominee Lily Rabe return to the Park as the wise-cracking, would-be lovers Beatrice and Benedick in the beloved romantic comedy. Central Park becomes sun-drenched Sicily at the turn of the last century, where the heat of summer ignites the fevered passions of lovesick ladies in corsets and pining gentlemen spying from the verandah. Three-time Tony winner Jack O'Brien directs this delightful skirmish of wit between two self-declared bachelors tricked by their mischief-making friends into falling in love against their will and in spite of their own hearts. The Public Theater will begin previews earlier this week on June 3 for Much Ado About Nothing, the first show of The Public's 2014 season of free Shakespeare in the Park at the Delacorte. Directed by Jack O'Brien, Much Ado About Nothing will run through Sunday, July 6, with an official press opening on Monday, June 16.
