Martin Short stopped by this morning's TODAY to talk about taking over the lead role in the hit Broadway comedy IT'S ONLY A PLAY.

On last night's LATE LATE SHOW on CBS, IT'S ONLY A PLAY's Martin Short joined guest host Regis Philbin to discuss replacing Nathan Lane in the hit Broadway play, as well as his new memoir titled, 'I Must Say: My Life As a Humble Comedy Legend.'

New York's funniest show Celebrity Autobiography will welcome to its cast stars of stage and screen Tony Award-winner Matthew Broderick (It's Only A Play), music icon Debbie Harry, Janeane Garofalo (the Bravo series Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce), Pam Adlon (FX's Louie), Rachel Dratch (SNL), Ralph Macchio (My Cousin Vinny, The Karate Kid, Dancing with the Stars), Tate Donovan (24, Damages), 4-time Oscar-nominee Marsha Mason, comedy legend Alan Zweibel & Drama Desk-winners Eugene Pack & Dayle Reyfel for several March shows on March 9, March 14 and March 16 at The Triad (Stage 72 -- 158 West 72nd Street). Additional March dates and performers will be announced soon.

Bravo has announced that Kristin Chenoweth will stop by the WATCH WHAT HAPPENS clubhouse on Monday, January 26th. Tom Sandoval will also appear on the show.

Based on material previously written by Guy Bolton and P.G. Wodehouse, featuring a catalog of many recognizable songs by George and Ira Gershwin, Nice Work If You Can Get It tells the story of wealthy playboy Jimmy Winter, who meets rough female bootlegger Billie Bendix on the weekend of his wedding. Jimmy, who had been married three times before, is preparing to marry Eileen Evergreen, a self-obsessed modern dancer. Thinking that Jimmy and Eileen wouldl be out of town, Billie and her gang hide cases of alcohol in the basement of Jimmy's Long Island mansion. But when Jimmy, his wife-to-be and her prohibitionist family show up at the mansion for the wedding, Billie and her cohorts pose as servants, causing hijinks galore.

The cast of the Tony Award-winning hit Beautiful just celebrated the show's one year anniversary. Since opening on Broadway on January 12, 2014, Beautiful has broken all box office records at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, where it recently became the highest grossing production in the theatre's history. The Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center has just announced that stage and screen star Nathan Lane will be the next recipient of the Monte Cristo Award. Lane will receive the honor on Monday, April 13 (6:30PM) at the Edison Ballroom.

Walnut Street Theatre's Independence Studio on 3 continues its season with David Mamet's comedy A Life in the Theatre. Philadelphia audiences will be the first to see this production before it becomes the fifth national tour of a Walnut Street Theatre production. A Life in the Theatre opens in Philadelphia tonight, January 15th and runs through February 1st in the intimate Independence Studio on 3.
