The Town Hall 2014 Summer Season: Broadway Preludes presents Broadway Rising Stars, the annual revue giving recent graduates from the nation's leading performing arts schools a chance to showcase their talents and perform on the legendary stage. Directed by Scott Coulter, Broadway Rising Stars is created, hosted and written by Scott Siegel and features the brightest talent from AMDA, CAP 21, Circle in the Square, Juilliard, Marymount, The New School, NYU's Steinhardt and Tisch, Pace University, and more. The event will feature a special guest appearance by Tony Award winner Bill Irwin (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Fool Moon). The second-oldest Fringe Festival in th U.S., SF Fringe brings the best of bright, new, edgy performances of theatre, dance, clowning, magic, and other sorts of presentations for three consecutive weekends, from Friday, September 5 to Saturday, September 20 dark on Mondays.)
The 35 shows for this year's Fringe were chosen, as always, by lottery from the more than 100 entries received. All Fringe performances will take place in one of the three venues within the EXIT Theatreplex at 156 Eddy Street.
On February 6th, 'Debutante Ball' featured 10 young performers making their New York stage debut at the Laurie Beechman theatre, singing brand new songs by Landon Braverman & Derek P. Hassler, Maggie Kate Coleman & Julia Meinwald, Joey Contreras, Rob DelGaudio & Kaley McMahon, Kyle Ewalt & Michael Ian Walker, Mishaela Faucher & Jason Michael Snow, Paul Fujimoto, David Levinson, Michael Mott & Zoe Samuel, Alexander Sage Oyen, Bradford Proctor, Alex Rubin & Mark Sanderlin, Sam Salmond, Zack Zadek.
