DISRUPTION, a new play written by Andrew Stein and directed by Hersh Ellis will have two special reading presentations on Thursday, February 16 at 12:00PM and 3:00PM at Open Jar Studios.

Last night, December 4, The Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust awarded playwrights Ayad Akhtar and Lucas Hnath with 2017 Steinberg Playwright Awards. The acclaimed writers were honored at the 10th Annual 'Mimi' Awards that were presented at Lincoln Center Theater. BroadwayWorld has photos from the ceremony below!

The World Premiere of KIN, a new play by Bathsheba Doran Living Room in Africa, her adaptation of Great Expectations at The Lortel, directed by Obie Award winner Sam Gold features Tony Award nominee Suzanne Bertish The Moliére Comedies, the original London and Broadway Nicholas Nickleby, Bill Buell On the Bum at PH, HBO's 'John Adams', Kristen Elizabeth Bush Broadway's A Touch of the Poet, King Lear at The Public, Photograph 51 at EST, Patch Darragh Roundabout's The Glass Menagerie and Crimes of the Heart, Laura Heisler Doris to Darlene at PH, Coram Boy, Matthew Rauch Broadway's The Merchant of Venice and Prelude to a Kiss, Cotter Smith Broadway's Next Fall, X2: X-Men United, Concetta Tomei Broadway's The Elephant Man, The Clean House at Lincoln Center, Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead and Molly Ward The Seagull and Three Sisters at ART. The play was originally announced to feature Lily Rabe, who had to withdraw when The Merchant of Venice transferred to Broadway.

The National Playwrights Conference (NPC) at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center concludes its 45th year with staged readings of Carthage by Emily Schwend on July 23 at 8:15 pm and July 24 at 7:15 pm and Bogwog by Abbie Spallen on July 25 at 8:15 pm and July 26 at 3:15 pm. The conference, founded in 1964 and led by Lloyd Richards from 1968-1999, is now helmed by Artistic Director Wendy C. Goldberg.

Page 73 Productions has announced that the New York premiere of 1001, written by Jason Grote and directed by Ethan McSweeny, will begin performances Monday, October 22 at the Nagelberg Theatre at Baruch Performing Arts Center (BPAC), 55 Lexington Avenue. The opening is scheduled for Wednesday, October 31 at 8PM.

Wallace Shawn's The Fever, presented by the New Group in its first revival, opened on January 29th after beginning previews on January 9th.

The limited 12-week Off-Broadway engagement opened officially on Wednesday, April 20th.
