The 16th Annual Hollywood Film Awards, presented by the Los Angeles Times, has announced that two-time Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro will be honored with the 'Hollywood Supporting Actor Award' at the festival's Hollywood Film Awards Gala Ceremony for his fantastic performance in David O. Russell's 'Silver Linings Playbook.'

Promised Land is the new contemporary drama directed by Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting, Milk). Matt Damon plays Steve Butler, an ace corporate salesman who is sent along with his partner, Sue Thomason (Frances McDormand), to close a key rural town in his company's expansion plans. With the town having been hit hard by the economic decline of recent years, the two outsiders see the local citizens as likely to accept their company's offer, for drilling rights to their properties, as much-needed relief.

In an interview with The Cut last night at a party for New York's Fashion Week, Olympian Ryan Lochte revealed that he would be taping a cameo appearance for the new season of NBC's 30 ROCK. When asked about his upcoming TV appearances, Lochte replied, 'I know I have the cameo for 30 Rock in the morning, and after that, E! And then Live With Kelly. So I'm all over the place.'

Deadline.com reports that Robert De Niro will develop a small screen adaptation of his 2006 film THE GOOD SHEPHERD. According to the report, the actor is currently working with the Showtime cable network on the project.
