On Friday, August 5th, the students of Broadway Artists Alliance received a visit from Tony Award winner, Jessie Mueller. She charmed them from the first moment when she sat down for her interview and rescued an eyelash from Artistic Director Jennifer Johns' cheek so that she could make a wish. Mueller's down-to-earth insight and wisdom was welcomed by the students of Broadway Artists Alliance in a Q&A that seemed to fly by. Scroll down for photos!

On July 21st, the students of Broadway Artists Alliance of NYC were tearfully overjoyed by a surprise visit from Hamilton star Renee Elise Goldsberry. Recently winning a Tony Award and Grammy for her role as Angelica Schuyler, Goldsberry spoke about the incredible journey that Hamilton has taken from workshopping a concept, to performing at The Public and moving to the Richard Rodgers Theatre, to earning 16 Tony nominations and winning a Pulitzer Prize. Tony Award Winner, Laura Benanti, delighted the students of Broadway Artists Alliance's Summer Intensive program with a surprise visit this past Thursday! Benanti, who recently finished up a successful run of She Loves Me (2016 Tony Nomination for Leading Actress in a Musical), was as inciteful and entertaining off stage as she is on, during her Q&A with these aspiring young professionals. Tony Award Nominee and School of Rock's leading man, Alex Brightman, visited the students of Broadway Artists Alliance on Thursday, July 7th. The concert is a finely tuned gathering of songs from the Broadway repertoire, including 'Tonight', 'Somebody, Somewhere', 'I Am Loved', and, of course, 'Lullaby of Broadway' among many others.

Santino Fontana, 2013 Tony Award nominee for Best Leading Actor in a Musical (Cinderella), visited students of Broadway Artists Alliance Junior Summer Intensive on July 9th. Fontana spoke of his start in school plays all the way to his Broadway career. Fontana relayed some words of wisdom during a Q&A, answering questions ranging from memorizing all those lines to the process of making Frozen.

The Rappahannock Foundation for the Arts exists to bring cultural programs to a rural Virginia area whose two counties have fewer than 25,000 people between them. On October 19th, the Foundation sponsored a trio from 'The Broadway Tenors,' a rotating group of about sixteen singer-actors who have starred in musical productions in major venues.

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces a preliminary lineup of star performers, and a luminous array of theater notables including Andre Bishop, Terrence McNally and James Naughton, who will help celebrate three extraordinary people at the annual TRU Love Benefit, Honoring Friendship, Remembering Friends. The trio of TRU friends who will be remembered and honored are producer Randall Wreghitt (Little Women, Beauty Queen of Leenane, Grey Gardens, The Lieutenant of Inishmore, Golda's Balcony, As Bees in Honey Drown, The Food Chain) who died unexpectedly at the age of 55 in May 2011, and will be posthumously remembered with the 2013 TRU Spirit of Theater Award; Michael Feingold, former critic with the Village Voice, who will receive the TRU Humanitarian Award for educating generations of theatergoers about the historical, social and cultural context of the shows he reviews; and TRU member and program director Patricia R. Klausner, who will be recognized and applauded with the TRU Entrepreneur Award for her ongoing dedication in both the not-for-profit and commercial producing arenas.
