Manhattan Concert Productions has just revealed the full and phenomenal cast who will take part in their concert performance of Ragtime at Avery Fisher Hall on Monday, February 18, 2013!

The 17th annual ASCAP Foundation Awards Event took place at Jazz at Lincoln Center last week. Among the musical theater-related awards presented was the Mary Rodgers-Lorenz Hart Award to lyricist Marcy Heisler and the Richard Rodgers New Horizons Award to the composer-lyricist team of Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner. Larry Hart's 'Praise!' benefit concert will play one night only tonight, October 28th, 2012 at 6 p.m. at Middle Collegiate Church.

“We should not do a show more often,” quipped Ryan Silverman as he an Jill Paice took in the appreciative applause of the Town Hall audience before even singing a note of the Broadway musical they were expected to star in this season, Rebecca.  Host Scott Siegel had just recapped the story of the show's numerous delays, fake investors, missing funds and the fact that an estimated 150 theatre professions had either turned down work or stopped seeking immediate employment because of their expectation to be working on Broadway by Christmas.

The Town Hall, New York City's landmark theatre and concert venue (123 West 43rd Street) honors two influential individuals: Dr. Charlotte K Frank, Senior Vice President of McGraw Hill and Chair of the Town Hall Arts and Education Committee, and Marvin Leffler, in recognition of 34 years as President of The Town Hall. They will receive The Town Hall's 'Friend of the Arts' Award tonight, October 21st, 2012.
