?Novato Theater Company Stages Classic Mystery Thriller, Mary Roberts Rinehart's "The Bat," Feb. 6 - March 1.

The Center and Company of Fools (COF) is offering a voice acting class with professional stage, screen, and voiceover actress Irene Ziegler. The class runs July 7-9, from 1 to 3pm, at the Meriwether building in Hailey.

The Novato Theater Company has announced the six plays to be staged in its 2014-2015 Season, beginning with Ken Ludwig's Leading Ladies, opening on August 21, 2014, and closing with Paul Slade Smith's rollicking Unnecessary Farce, May 21-June 14, 2015.

Nylon Fusion Theatre Company presents two thoughtful and poignantly funny takes on the meaning of trying to define yourself in the world, and the nature of performance in life, on film and on stage with the world premiere of Don Nigro's noir comedy A Snowfall in Berlin (running March 12 - April 5) alternating with the revival of John Patrick Shanley's seldom-seen The Big Funk: A Casual Play (running March 13 - April 6). The plays will be presented in repertory at separate performances at Teatro LaTea @ Clemente Soto Velez, located at 107 Suffolk Street on Manhattan's Lower East Side.

Jacqui Graziano is currently on tour with SISTER ACT. She has done numerous other tours including WICKED, BEAUTY & THE BEAST, SUNSET BLVD, and CATS. I recently got the honor to sit down with her and talk about SISTER ACT, being on tour, her future, and her dog, Willy.

Nylon Fusion Theatre Company presents two world-premiere one-act works by Don Nigro Marina and Mata Hari, at Planet Connections Theatre Festivity, about two women who bravely faced personal battles as they were caught up in the turmoil of the two world wars. Directed by Ivette Dumeng, and starring Tatyana Kot in the title roles, with Curtis James Nielsen, Marina and Mata Hari will be performed together at the Robert Moss Theatre at 440 Lafayette Street beginning tomorrow, June 15th.

Virginia Repertory Theatre announces the opening of Hay Fever by Noel Coward at the Sara Belle and Neil November Theatre on Friday, February 15, 2013 with a preview on February 14. Part of the Acts of Faith Theatre Festival, the show will run through March 3 with a talk back on Sunday, February 24 following the 2:00 p.m. matinee. This witty comedy of manners set in the 1920's English countryside portrays the outlandish lifestyle of four bohemians as they host unsuspecting guests for a weekend in the country.

Zelda at the Oasis, a new play by P. H. Lin, directed by Andy Sandberg (The Last Smoker in America), will celebrate its New York Premiere on Friday, November 16th when it begins previews at St. Luke's Theatre, 308 West 46th Street, in the heart of Times Square. The official opening is Tuesday, December 4th at 7 PM. Zelda at the Oasis, which features Edwin Cahill and Gardner Reed, is an open-ended engagement.

For the third summer in a row Theatre 40 is turning back time to present a delightfully eerie murder mystery thriller: first, it was Agatha Christie's Black Coffee, then last summer The Spider's Web, and now, from the early twenties, Mary Roberts Rinehart's and Avery Hopwood's The Bat. The current production is not quite as tightly packaged as the previous two, but, despite the play's lengthy exposition and a somewhat slow delivery, it does have guest artist Veronica Cartwright on board, an opulent set and costumes...and, with its thunder and lightning blackouts and creepy images popping up outside the window and in the corridor, it certainly is a whole lot of fun to experience.

Helen on 86th Street, a new full-length family musical adapted from Wendi Kaufman's much loved 1997 New Yorker short story with book and lyrics by Nicole Kempskie and music by Robby Stamper, will make its World Premiere at the American Theatre of Actors/Chernuchin Theatre, 314 West 54th Street, NYC, on April 28th at 7:30 PM and continue its limited engagement through May 8th, 2011.
