Playing on Air has revealed its Summer 2023 podcast season, featuring an exciting lineup of nine audio plays curated and produced by Founder and Consulting Director Claudia Catania.

Ahead of the release of her sophomore album Do Your Worst and following the release of tracks “Eve Polastri’s Last Two Brain Cells Have A Debate” and “Echo Park Vampire”,  today Erin Anne has shared new track, “Typhoid Mary” and its brilliantly-tense accompanying video.

In many ways, Jason Robert Brown’s show focused on the metaphorical prison we are all just emerging from as we slowly return to something resembling our former lives. As he pointed out, as much as we try to put the pieces back in place, there are simply things that have gone away, maybe for good. Maybe not. No one can really be sure. His lyrics have always been a glimpse inside a mind that obsesses on the big questions. But in light of the traumatic year the world has been through, they seem ripe with new meanings about where we’ve been and where we’re heading.

What Will the Neighbors Say? has announced that Co-Artistic Director James Clements’ play, “Beauty Freak,” has been curated to be presented as a digital reading at the BorderLight Festival in Cleveland, Ohio in July 2021.

A committee of artistic, managing and literary leaders from across the country selected plays by Kevin Artigue, Hilary Bettis, Kristiana Colon, Mfoniso Udofia, and Steve Yockey for the twelfth installment of the Showcase.
