Profiles Theatre Continues Its 21st Season With KILLER JOE 1/8/2010

Profiles Theatre continues its 2009-2010 Season with Killer Joe by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tracy Letts, directed by Steppenwolf ensemble member Rick Snyder. The production runs January 8- February 28, 2010, at Profiles Theatre, 4147 N. Broadway. The press opening is Thursday, January 14, 2010, at 8:00 p.m.

Mary Jane Houdina, a member of the original 1971 cast of the Tony Award-winning Stephen Sondheim / James Goldman masterpiece 'Follies' will speak during the intermission of the performance on Saturday, October 24 at 8 p.m. at the Prince Music Theater. She will be interviewed by David Anthony Fox, a member of the Brind School faculty who writes theater criticism for the Philadelphia City Paper.

Open The Dark Door, the indie rock musical by David Lefort Nugent that confronts the modern American justice system, begins it's NYMF run October 8th at the American Theatre of Actors, running through October 17th. Starring in the production at the 2009 New York Musical Theatre Festival are Broadway's Mary Ellen Ashley (Annie Get Your Gun), Paul Kandel (Tommy, Titanic, Jesus Christ Superstar), Laura Jordan (Cry Baby), and Andrew McGinn (Coast of Utopia). The production features direction from Susanna Gellert (Fugue States at PS 122).
