Cape Fear Regional Theatre has announced an upcoming production of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story. Dates for performances are TBA.

It’s a dark and stormy night, and the host of a dinner party has turned up dead in his own mansion. Inspired by the board game and film, join Miss Scarlett, Colonel Mustard, Professor Plum, and other colorful guests for this hilarious murder mystery. As the guests race to find the killer, audiences will be in stitches to try and figure out WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT!

Mary Catherine Burke, director of Mile Square Theatre's production of 'You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown' has a stated preference for comedy with bite. In this she successfully mines Charles Shultz' Peanuts comic strip for all the inherent anxiety and wit. Her team - including the cast - create a production with bark (sorry) that captures Shultz' philosophical musings and flights of fanciful imagination. With strong bright Sunday comic, Saturday morning cartoon candy colored lighting (Elaine Wong) and a wisely kid perspective skewing set (Jen Price Fick) and musical director (Terri Gorgone) at the keys, the intrepid, peppy cast of six sings and dances their way into your hearts. They are a wily charming bunch who radiate atomic warm into a smiling audience.

Amphibian Stage Productions (Kathleen Culebro, Artistic Director) will develop Music City, USA, a new musical with music and lyrics by JT Harding and book by Peter Zinn.  Featuring actors Alex Ross, Kelsey Lake, Braden Socia, Will Adams, Brandon Murphy, Kelsey Milbourn, Cara Serber, Jacob Nice, and Greg Dulcie, Music City, USA will have two performances, on Sunday, August 21 at 2pm and Monday, August 22 at 7pm, in the Berlene T. and Jarrell R. Milburn Theatre at Amphibian Stage Productions.  Mary Catherine Burke will direct and Jacob Nice will music direct.

Mr. Domig has received rave reviews for performing Robert Schneider's play around the world and now returns to New York with a bold new production at The 4th Street Theater (83 East 4th Street) from today, September 18 to October 12. He won 'Best Actor' for this role at the New York International Fringe Festival and performed it at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Vancouver Fringe Festival in addition to lauded performances in London and Berlin. Reid will star in this poignant drama, running tonight, February 21 through Sunday, March 17 at Amphibian's theater at 120 S. Main Street. Mary Catherine Burke, a New York-based director, will lead the production.

SITTERS STUDIO PRODUCTIONS will produce the NYC premiere of 'HELP WANTED: PIRATES' at the MAGNET THEATRE starting May 19th. The production, with book and lyrics by CHRIS WIDNEY and music by J. SEBASTIAN FABAL, is a new musical for children performed by adults. This interactive children's musical is directed by MARY CATHERINE BURKE, choreographed by JEN LITTLEFIELD with musical direction by ANDREW WHEELER.
