Hartford Stage Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak has officially announced an electrifying cast of Broadway veterans for the premiere of the new musical ANASTASIA, which is inspired by the real life of Grand Duchess Anastasia Romanov and the enduring mystery of her true identity. ANASTASIA plays May 12 through June 12, 2016.

Atlantic Theater Company will present their Annual Gala on Monday, March 7, 2016 at The Pierre (2 East 61 Street). Actors' Choice will celebrate Atlantic's actors with a fabulous evening of unexpected songs, honoring David Richenthal and the Richenthal Foundation for their long-term support of Atlantic's mission.

Last night, CBS announced the series finale of THE GOOD WIFE in dramatic fashion with a special promotional spot broadcast during Super Bowl 50 touting the show's final nine episodes.

Upper West Siders, Victoria Clark, Jessica Fontana, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka, Howard McGillin, Mary Beth Peil, Sherie Rene Scott and Allyson Tucker and other Broadway favorites, Derrick Baskin, Joe Carroll, Corey Cott, Brian Cross, Chris Houlihan, Andrea Jones, Erin Mackey, Alexandra Silber, Daniel J. Watts and Betsy Wolfe (along with singer-songwriters Jane Kelly Williams and Shaina Taub) celebrate the holidays and raise funds for much needed repairs for the historic Church of St Paul and St. Andrew.

The fate of one of the theatre district's popular restaurants, Maria's Mont Blanc (315 W 48 St.), now hangs in the balance. The cozy Swiss-Austrian bistro, which serves a variety of traditional fare, has been battling in court with its landlord who has refused to adhere to the lease.

Kander and Ebb's Tony-nominated musical THE VISIT might have closed on Broadway earlier this summer, but according to leading lady Chita Rivera, the show will have another life overseas. As we previously reported, Roger Rees, the legendary, Tony Award-winning actor, and Tony Award nominated director, passed away last night at his home in New York City, after a brief journey with cancer. His husband,Rick Elice, and family and friends were at his side.

The 17th annual Broadway Barks fundraiser - the star-studded dog and cat adoption event to benefit New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies founded by Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore - was held July 11 in Shubert Alley. BROADWAY BARKS announces their 17th annual star-studded dog and cat adoption event to benefit New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. Founded by Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore, this event features celebrities from the hottest shows on Broadway.  The event, produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, will take place on Saturday, July 11 in Shubert Alley (located between 44th and 45th Streets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue). The festivities begin at 3:00 p.m. where you meet all the adoptable dogs and cats; celebrity presentations of adoptable pets will take place between 5:00-6:30 p.m. This year's event will be co-hosted by Bernadette Peters and Andrew Rannells (The Book of Mormon, HBO's 'Girls'). The event is free and open to the public.

The company of Broadway's The Visit gathered in the studio on April 27th to record the musical's original cast album. The Visit is the final musical ever written by legendary Oscar Award, Grammy Award and Tony Award-winning composer John Kander and his writing partner lyricist Fred Ebb, before Mr. Ebb passed away.
