Animal Planet presents its 2016-2017 Upfront slate highlighted by the introduction of ANIMAL PLANET PRESENTS, a new programming event to introduce award-winning and premiere specials and documentary films from top filmmakers

The Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry at the University of Connecticut will present the grand opening of The Bureau of Small Requests: Puppetry and Animation of Laura Heit on Saturday, April 23, 2016, with refreshments served at 4:30 p.m. and a tour by puppeteer, visual artist, and filmmaker Laura Heit at 5:00 p.m. All events will take place at the Ballard Institute, located at 1 Royce Circle in Storrs, Connecticut.  At 6:30 p.m. in the Ballard Institute Theater. Heit will perform one of her critically acclaimed puppet productions and screen a selection of her short films. 

The New 42nd Street has announced that its annual Gala, this year celebrating 25 years, will be held Monday, April 11 at The New Victory Theater. The evening will honor Douglas Durst, Bruce C. Ratner, Daniel R. Tishman, and Mortimer B. Zuckerman with the Marian Heiskell Award and President of The New 42nd Street, Cora Cahan, with the New Victory Arts Award. Jane and Michael Eisner will serve as Gala honorary chairs.  

Playwright Rich Rubin's newest play, CAESAR'S BLOOD will have its world premiere at The Adobe Theater from tonight, March 25th, through April 17th, 2016.

At the 2016 edition of BROADWAY BACKWARDS, Broadway legend Chita Rivera brought her own brand of 'razzle-dazzle' to Kander and Ebb's 'All I Care About is Love' from CHICAGO. Darren Criss replaces the previously announced Jeremy Jordan, who is unavailable due to a scheduling issue.
