Fox Concerts has announced that Grammy and stellar nominated Gospel super-group Commissioned will play at the Fabulous Fox Theatre on Friday, November 8 at 8 p.m.

After making a triumphant return from its four-year hiatus earlier this summer, BET's inspirational singing competition, “Sunday Best,” moves closer to crowning a new gospel superstar. Last night the Grammy Award-winning songstress, Fantasia heated up the stage with a debut performance of “Looking For You,” from her forthcoming album Sketchbook. She later joined the judge's panel, kicking off an emotional night full of surprises which ended with Joshua Copeland and Melvin Crispell, III moving forward to the finale episode airing on August 25, 2019 at 8PM ET/PT. The Recording Academy announced today its newly elected National Officers of the Board of Trustees, voted upon at the organization's annual spring Board of Trustees meeting in May. Record producer Harvey Mason Jr. has been elected as the Chair of the Board of Trustees, and managing partner of Placement Music Tammy Hurt will serve as Vice Chair. Veteran music executive Terry Hemmings was re-elected Secretary/Treasurer and recording artist and founder/CEO of Swan Songs Christine Albert assumes the position of Chair Emeritus. All officer appointments were effective on June 1, 2019.

Shattering the previous record of most all-time Billboard Music Awards wins, Drake took home 12 awards tonight, including Top Artist - the most of the evening, bringing his total to 27, now the most of any artist ever! Airing this evening from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas at 8pm ET/PT on NBC, the "2019 Billboard Music Awards" opened with a spectacular world premiere performance by global superstar Taylor Swift and Brendon Urie, followed by a show-stopping medley of today's biggest hits from show host, Kelly Clarkson. Vonnie Lopez already has a commanding presence in Gospel music circles, and now she has a global spotlight as she appears on the James Corden hosted CBS show The World's Best. Appearing on a live talent competition show was the farthest thing from Lopez's mind, but when a video of her singing “Oh How I Love Jesus” went viral on social media – producers of The World's Best contacted her and asked her to join the show.

Violinist Kevin Sylvester and violist Wilner Baptiste went to college to study classical music and learn their craft. But when they returned home to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, 'Kev Marcus' and 'Wil B' began covering hip-hop songs on their instruments as Black Violin.

RCA Inspiration garners three wins at the 49th Annual GMA Dove Awards, as chart-topping artists Travis Greene, Koryn Hawthorne, and Marvin Sapp were honored for their hit songs this past year.  Travis Greene won his first Dove Award in the category of Urban Worship Recorded Song of the Year for his chart-topper “You Waited.”  Koryn Hawthorne won her first Dove Award in the category of Contemporary Gospel/Urban Recorded Song of the Year for her hit track “Won't He Do It” (ft. Roshon Fegan).  Marvin Sapp took home his second Dove Award, winning in the category of Traditional Gospel Recorded Song of the Year for his hit single “Close.”

Chart-topping young star and two-time 2018 Dove Awards nominee Koryn Hawthorne makes a return appearance in Lionsgate's hit drama series, Greenleaf tonight, Wednesday September 5th at 10 pm/9c on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.  Her song “Speak the Name” will be featured in the episode.

The Bounce television network and the Brown Sugar streaming service are teaming up to carry Aretha Franklin's farewell memorial service live this Friday, Aug. 31.

In celebration of the 2018 BET Awards in Los Angeles, Domani Harris, was invited to perform on the BETX Coca-Cola stage on Saturday June 23rd. Domani, a rising rap star and son to hip hop legend T.I., performed alongside a live band new tracks off his recently released project AMYGDALA. Fans rushed to the stage in the Los Angeles Convention Center to enjoy the soulful rap experience that Domani provided. This was Domani's first major performance and proves he's got a bright music career ahead of him.

The 2018 BET Awards took place Sunday at Los Angeles' Microsoft Theater, Kendrick Lamar taking home to most prizes, for best male hip hop artist and album of the year for “DAMN.” Beyonce was crowned the best female R&B/pop artist, and Cardi B won for best female hip hop artist. Anita Baker received the lifetime achievement award.

The “2018 Billboard Music Awards,” hosted by “The Voice” coach, Kelly Clarkson, was an emotional and celebratory night of nostalgic and one-of-a-kind musical performances and touching moments all to celebrate this year's biggest and best in music!
