Virginia's Signature Theatre opens its air-conditioned doors once again for the annual Sizzlin' Summer Nights Series. Two and a half weeks of live music and performances by Signature favorites and DC area stars. The cabaret series runs July 19 through August 4, with a different performance every night.

Following the sold-out debut event earlier this year, the orchestral Northern Soul and Motown music event is back and is stomping its way to theatres later this year. The innovative Manchester Camerata and renowned composer Joe Duddell will perform the very best of Northern Soul and Motown at Blackpool Opera House on 25 August, Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on 2 November, and London's O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on 3 November.

Live @ Peck Pavilion returns to the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts grounds this summer. The season will run from July 5 through August 25 with each day of the series featuring a different program focus. Optimist Theatre: Shakespeare in the Park returns Peck Pavilion from July 5-21 with their presentation of King Lear featuring local favorite Jim Pickering in the title role. Theatre Royal Stratford East announces further comedy and music events ahead of Nadia Fall's inaugural season which opens this September.
