SWEET SOUL MUSIC will perform on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at 7:30PM at the NEW Cabaret Lounge at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, 14900 La Mirada Blvd. in La Mirada.

The music of Mickey Leonard, composer and arranger cherished by the cabaret and jazz communities was presented by Karen Oberlin at the Metropolitan Room on January 22, 2011. The evening was hosted by David Hadju and Mr. Leonard's music was sung & played by a bevy of the music worlds finest. The event will also take place on February 10, at 9:30 hosted by Rex Reed. Mickey Leoanrd has written some of the most beloved standards of the Great American Songbook, such as 'Why Did I Choose You?' and 'I'm All Smiles' with lyrics by Herb Martin. He has also written with lyricists Carolyn Leigh and Marshall Barer to name a few, and he has arranged and conducted for the legendary jazz pianist Bill Evans and many others. His songs have been recorded by Barbra Streisand, Barbara Cook, Marvin Gaye, Shirley Horn, Mabel Mercer, Nancy Lamott, Joe Williams, George Shearing, Andy Williams and the list goes on.........Performers in these events will include: Joyce Breach Barbara Brussell, Ellen Bullinger, Eric Comstock & Barbara Fasano, Maud Hixson, Tanya Holt, Mickey Leonard, Pamela Luss, Marissa Mulder, Mark Murphy, Mark Nadler, Karen Oberlin, Rex Reed, Jane Scheckter, Sandy Stewart,KT Sullivan, Warren Vache, Jon Weber and special surprise guests.

The highly anticipated debut single, 'IMMORTAL,' from buzz worthy musician, NOAH, which features members of the critically-acclaimed rap group, The Wu-Tang Clan KILLA BEEZ- Prodigal Sunn/Shyheim, will finally arrive via Last Ten Records on December 6th (UK Release) and December 7th (US Release). Noah has been described by Q Magazine as 'Genius' and NME said 'Noah has the funk of the Red Hot Chillis and the Soul of Marvin Gaye,' whilst Time Out Magazine boasts Noah is 'A better singer than David McAlmont and Seal put together.' The notorious rap group The Wu-Tang Clan KILLA BEEZ- Prodigal Sunn/Shyheim will be joining NOAH, along with some surprise guests, at New York City's famed CMJ Marathon this October 22,2010 at Le Poisson Rouge at 8pm. 'IMMORTAL' is the first single off of Noah's forthcoming album, Five Decades Below, which is due for release in Summer 2011.

On November 29th, artists and musicians will unite for BROTHER, BROTHER: KING FOR A DAY, a special evening to benefit Lifebeat at Comix. Performers including Lala Brooks, Ann Hampton Callaway, Grayce Coviello, Colton Ford, Sherri Lewis, Stewart Lewis, Gregory Nalbone, John Pagano, Katy Pfaffl, Barbara Porteus, MarTina Vidmar, Julie Waldman-Stiel and Liz Callaway will offer their interpretations of the songs of CAROLE KING. The inspiration for this event, which will be hosted by Matt Walton (All My Children, One Life to Live) and feature musical direction by Jimmy Horan, comes from Ms. King's song 'Brother, Brother' from her 1971 album Music. The song was her heartfelt response to Marvin Gaye's 'What's Goin' On' and is still relevant today.
