Country groups Home Free and Sixwire have signed on to join a star-studded lineup of artists for the Alabama & Friends #JSUStrongtornado relief concert benefiting Jacksonville State University (JSU).

Fox Stage Productions and Kevin McCollum have announced the creative team for the new Broadway-bound musical MRS. DOUBTFIRE. Four-time Tony Award Winner Jerry Zaks, (most recently represented on Broadway by the hit revival of Hello, Dolly!) will direct, joined by Tony Award Nominees (for Something Rotten!) John O'Farrell and Karey Kirkpatrick (book) and Karey and Wayne Kirkpatrick (music and lyrics).
Iconic entertainer Reba McEntire will return for a second year as host of the ninth annual “CMA Country Christmas,” the two-hour music celebration that airs on ABC during the holiday season. Marking her third time performing on the show, a lineup of legendary acts and Country favorites will also take the stage for a night filled with Christmas classics and festive one-of-a-kind collaborations.

Country music icon Martina McBride is not letting the Nashville summer heat ruin her Christmas spirt, and begins her gift giving with the release of It's The Holiday Season. The 9-song holiday set will be released on October 19, the first with her new record label partner, BMG. McBride also continues her “The Joy of Christmas Tour” tradition, this time adding songs from the new album and bringing to life the big band and orchestral sounds by using local symphonies on each stop. In addition, she will be adding more spice into that mix, by releasing a second all-season cookbook, Martina's Kitchen Mix: My Recipe Playlist For Real Life, available October 30th.

More artists have been announced to perform at the Chillin' on the Lucie music festival in Port St. Lucie, Fla., Oct. 3 - 7. Uncle Kracker has joined the roster, as well as Cassadee Pope, Parmalee, Josh Gracin, Clare Dunn, Kalie Shorr, Hudson Moore and Lewis Brice. Millicent Hunnicut and Bridgette Karl star respectively as Lana Mae Hopkins, owner of the Wishy Washy Washateria and employee, Katie Lane Murphy. Both Millicent and Bridgette performed together at Show Palace in The Great American Trailer Park under the talented direction of Matthew Belopavlovich. Just like the characters they play, the actresses bonded and when an opportunity arose to perform the two-women show with Matthew as the director, the two jumped at the chance.
