The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performance Arts will kick off its star-packed and show-filled 20th anniversary season with Public Ticket Sale Day & Open House. The exciting and eclectic array of international artists and attractions from every discipline slated to appear at the Kravis Center include Broadway legend Bernadette Peters, talk show champion Larry King, song stylist supreme Diana Krall, the renowned Joffrey Ballet, inimitable funnymen Dennis Miller, Martin Short and Larry the Cable Guy and such major Kravis On Broadway hits as THE ADDAMS FAMILY, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES starring George Hamilton, HAIR, COME FLY AWAY and LES MISÉRABLES. *

The Smith Center for the Performing Arts will launch its Design Your Own series on Sunday, September 25.

BASE Entertainment (Co-CEO's Scott Zeiger and Brian Becker) announced that DINER, a new musical inspired by the critically acclaimed 1982 film, will come to Broadway in the fall of 2012. With a book by Academy Award and Emmy Award winner Barry Levinson and music & lyrics by Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow, DINER will be directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall. DINER marks the Broadway debut of both Barry Levinson and Sheryl Crow. Prior to its Broadway bow, DINER will play a limited out of town engagement in a city TBD in the summer of 2012. Design team and casting will be announced at a later date.

Upcoming film DOROTHY OF OZ will feature music by Oscar-nominee and 15-time Grammy winner, Bryan Adams, writing original songs for the feature with his writing partner, Jim Vallance. Along with Grammy-Award winning songwriter Tift Merritt and Emmy-winner Jim Dooley. Lyricist Mike Himelstein. Music supervisor is Vicki Hiatt (Ali, Hannibal, Madagascar, Open Season). The fall ushers in one of the most stunning Broadway blockbusters of all time, Miss Saigon on stage September 21 through October 23 at the Ogunquit Playhouse.

On Wednesday, September 28th the League of Professional Theatre Women will kick-off the fifteen-month celebration of their 30th Anniversary with a special event, TURNING 30, in Duffy Square at 11am. Co-hosted by Sirius/XM Radio's Julie James & Off-Broadway's Christine Pedi, the event will feature appearances by Emmy Award-winning actress/comedian Judy Gold (The Judy Show) & the Mamma Mia! 'Dynamos,' Carol Linnea Johnson, Corinne Melançon & Stacia Fernandez. Also attending will be some of LPTW 30th Anniversary Leading Ladies: Ruby Dee, Eve Ensler, Rosemary Harris, LaChanze, Elizabeth McCann, Estelle Parsons, Chita Rivera & Fran Weissler.

Jim Caruso's Cast Party is an extreme open mic that has been running every Monday for the past eight years at Birdland, the historic music room in Manhattan's Theater District. It's also a bi-monthly event at The Magic Castle in Los Angeles. Stars like Martin Short, Carol Channing, Cheyenne Jackson, Michael Feinstein, Liza Minnelli, Melissa Manchester and Tony Bennett have all joined in on the fun and impromptu performances - sharing the stage with Broadway chorus cuties, jazzers and composers.

The stars of SILENCE! The Musical, Brent Barrett and Jenn Harris, along with the entire cast headed into Yellow Sound Lab recording studio, NYC to create the original cast recording this past Monday, August 8th. The recording is set to be released by Ghostlight Records in October and finally musical comedy fans outside of New York will be able to enjoy the critically acclaimed score, including such song selections as 'If I Could Smell Her C---' and 'Put the F--king Lotion in the Basket.'
