Evan Rachel Wood, Rumer Willis and More Star in FOR THE RECORD: DEAR JOHN HUGHES, Starting Tonight in West Hollywood

The hit FOR THE RECORD series breathes a new life into the movies by adapting the works of great directors into a theatrical concert setting. FOR THE RECORD: DEAR JOHN HUGHES at West Hollywood's DBA will showcase the works of acclaimed director John Hughes, by reliving his acclaimed coming of age 1980's teen flicks including Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Pretty In Pink, Some Kind of Wonderful and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Performances begin tonight, February 6, and run through April 4.

NEW YORK, NY - Iconic American author Walter Tevis (1928-1984) continues to endear new readers with the release his classic novels in eBook editions. The Frist Center for the Visual Arts presents Telling Tales: Stories and Legends in 19th-Century American Art from February 27–June 7, 2015, in the Center's Upper-Level Galleries. The exhibition features paintings and sculptures that recount stories relating to American cultural aspirations and everyday life throughout the 19th century. Narrative landscapes by Thomas Cole and Asher B. Durand of the Hudson River School, genre scenes by William Sidney Mount and Francis W. Edmonds and sculptures by John Rogers are among the highlights of the exhibition.
