Smoke & Mirrors Collaborative presents POINT OF DEPARTURE Directed by Jonathan David Martin (Lincoln Center Theater's WARHORSE), assistant directed by Katie Meister (Shakespeare in the Park's ALLS WELL THAT ENDS WELL), and originally conceived with Zoey Martinson (Shakespeare in the Park's ALLS WELL THAT ENDS WELL) and MacKenzie Meehan (Classic Stage Company's DOUBLE FALSEHOOD) as the highly -anticipated inaugural production of this Brooklyn-based theater company.

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that WAR HORSE, which just opened at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre last week, is gearing up for a national tour, as well as a separate sit-down Toronto production. While details on the tour have not yet been announced, the show will play Los Angeles' Ahmanson Theatre from June 13 - July 22, 2012. The Toronto production is set to open in February of 2012.

Yesterday the horse puppets from 'War Horse' opened Lincoln Center's Illumination Lawn
for the summer season. The horse puppets dazzled onlookers on the Lawn, which is a double-twisted green space that forms the roof of one of Lincoln Center's newest buildings.

Previews begin Tuesday, March 15 for the National Theatre of Great Britain's production of WAR HORSE, presented by Lincoln Center Theater and the National Theatre of Great Britain in association with Bob Boyett. WAR HORSE is based on the novel by Michael Morpurgo, adapted by Nick Stafford, with Handspring Puppet Company, and directed by Marianne Eliott and Tom Morris. Opening night is Thursday, April 14 at 7:00 pm at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street).

Building on the success of their critically acclaimed 2009 production of Henry V, these two nationally recognized theater institutions will again showcase the talents of young performers from their ranks, including graduates of the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater B.F.A. Actor Training Program, participants of the Guthrie Experience (GEx), and alumni of The Acting Company.
