The Princess Grace Foundation-USA (PGF-USA) hosted the 2011 Princess Grace Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City and presented 21 Awards to emerging artists in theater, dance and film, as well as the Prince Rainier III Award which was presented to Julie Andrews and the Princess Grace Statue Award which was presented to Jon M. Chu, director of the highest grossing concert-themed film of all time in the U.S. Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. Oscar©-nominated actress Anne Hathaway introduced the special tribute to Julie Andrews. The Gala took place in the presence of TSH The Prince and Princess of Monaco. Bryn Mawr College's Performing Arts Series moves into high gear for the 2011-2012 season as it presents five music, dance, and theatre performances that have never been seen or heard in the region. The season begins with a celebrated Celtic singer, the Philadelphia area premiere of a highly touted one-man New York theatre sensation, and a renowned classical quartet. The season will close with the remount of a groundbreaking John Jasperse Company piece and a rare performance with the women of the exhilarating Rennie Harris Puremovement, in a program put together just for the college.

Joe's Pub announced today that they will be co-hosting a series of salon performances this summer at The Cooper Square Hotel. This April, Joe's Pub, a vital part of New York City's cultural landscape, announced a three month hiatus in programming, beginning July 2, to undertake an interior redesign and renovation. During this temporary closure, Joe's Pub will be continuing its dedication to presenting a wide variety of performing arts at affordable ticket prices to the New York and, specifically East Village community. Serving more than 100,000 audience members and presenting over 800 performances annually, this is the first time in 13 years of operation that Joe's Pub has closed its doors for an extended period of time.
