Maxine Heppner with Across Oceans presents the world premiere of my heart is a spoon, a new dance-media work exploring the emotional and physical range of rage while riffing on the visually arresting world of Japanese manga, choreographed and directed by Artistic Director Maxine Heppner, performed by visiting Japanese dancer Takako Segawa with Canadian performer Gerry Trentham.

ACCIDENTALLY, LIKE A MARTYR, a new play by Grant James Varjas about a group of gay men coming to grips with life and aging in the 21st century, will be given its world-premiere production Off-Broadway with preview performances beginning Dec. 15 prior to an official press opening Dec. 19 at Paradise Factory (64 E. 4 St.) in Manhattan. The play is directed by Mr. Varjas.

In advance of the highly anticipated New York premiere of Angel Reapers, the new dance/theater/music piece with text by Alfred Uhry and direction and choreography by Martha Clarke, the two creators will sit down with Gideon Lester (Director of Columbia University's Arts Collaboration Lab) to discuss this provocative work on Monday, November 21 from 6pm-8pm at Joyce SoHo (155 Mercer Street, between Houston and Prince).
