Amanda Green, Mary Testa to Perform at Dramatists Guild Awards, 11/5

The Dramatists Guild of America has just announced the recipients of their annual awards, which will be presented at an awards ceremony hosted by Lisa Kron on Monday, November 5, 2012, at the Players Club in New York. Performers include Amanda Green, Mary Testa, and Kenita Miller.

Michael Sexton Directs HENRY V at Two River Theater, Now thru 11/11

Two River Theater Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, continues its 2012-2013 Season with Shakespeare's Henry V, directed by Michael Sexton. Performances will begin in Two River's Rechnitz Theater, 21 Bridge Avenue, tonight, October 20 and continue through Sunday, November 11.

Gardner, Thomas Star in Circle Players' Collaboration With TSU on THE COLOR PURPLE

For only the second time in Circle Players' 63 year history, the venerable community theater company will join with Nashville's Tennessee State University to collaborate on the production of one of contemporary theater's most beloved works: The Color Purple. The musicalized version of Alice Walker's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, The Color Purple features an all-star cast of local performers from both the Nashville theater community and TSU's student body.

Michael Cerveris, Marsha Norman and More Set for NYMF's Next Link Project Jury

NYMF today announced the Grand Jury for the Next Link Project. Submissions for The Next Link Project, which guarantees production slots in the 2013 Festival, continue through November 2nd. SIDEWAYS THE PLAY by Rex Pickett has extended its world premiere staging at Ruskin Group Theatre, running Fridays-Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm extended through October 28, 2012 (no performances 9/28-9/30).

MCC's DON'T GO GENTLE Begins Performances

MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, William Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director) begins previews today for the world premiere production of Don't Go Gentle by Stephen Belber and directed by Lucie Tiberghien, who also directed Belber's play Geometry of Fire at the Rattlestick Theater.

Ian Belknap Named Artistic Director of the Acting Company

Margot Harley, co-founder and Producer of The Acting Company has announced the appointment of Ian Belknap to the position of Artistic Director.
