Signature Theatre Extends Martha Clarke & Alfred Uhry's ANGEL REAPERS

Signature Theatre has announced a one week extension for Angel Reapers, written by Residency Five playwright Martha Clarke and Tony- and Pulitzer Prize-winner Alfred Uhry, directed and choreographed by Ms. Clarke. The production will now run through March 20, 2016 with a Monday, February 22 opening night in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Tickets for extension performances begin at $35.

Producers announced today the complete cast and creative team for the North American premiere of playwright Lucy Prebble's award-winning new play The Effect. With direction by David Cromer, the new American production of The Effect will begin previews at the Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street at 7th Avenue) on Wednesday, March 2, with an official opening night set for Wednesday, March 16th.

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, announced today that its upcoming production of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet, starring Elizabeth Olsen as Juliet and Julian Cihi as Romeo, directed by Tea Alagi?, will now begin previews Saturday, September 28 at 3 pm, one day later than originally scheduled. The shift is due to a scenic element modification that will require additional technical rehearsal later this week. The official press opening remains Wednesday, October 16.

The French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF), New York's premiere French cultural center, presents the New York premiere of Nature Theater of Oklahoma's Life and Times Episodes 4.5 & 5, as part of its acclaimed Crossing the Line 2013 festival, which also commissioned Episode 5. Nature Theater of Oklahoma's epic Life and Times series is a sixteen-hour, multi-art serial created from a single phone conversation with a 34-year-old woman, who tells her whole life story up to the present day.
