Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) previously announced that legendary songwriter, movie star, Country Music Hall of Famer and Grammy-Award winning musician Kris Kristofferson would sit down for a rare Q&A session with a select group of SiriusXM listeners at the SiriusXM Music City Theatre in Nashville, TN.
Last night's buck naked, buck wild episode of GLEE, 'Naked' - written and directed by series co-creators Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan - acted as evidence that GLEE is about more than mere surface sheen, shine and brilliantine vacuity and it owes its continued success to the its three best features - or, make that assets - the music, the message and the cast. Dressed to the nines or in the all together, as last night's case may have been, taken all together, GLEE continues to hit the high notes, touch the heart and showcase top talent. 'Naked' was one more episode in a surprisingly strong and enjoyable Season Four, albeit a bit body-conscious. Plus, the grand returns of Santana (Naya Rivera), Quinn (Dianna Agron) and Miss Pillsbury (Jayma Mays).
Alright, guys - it's time to get naked. ..Whoa, hold up - put your clothes back on, please - you do not need to be to enjoy this episode, besides it's totally an allegory for baring your soul. ..No, seriously - put your damn clothes back on, sheesh. Well, onto the episode!
The Warblers have been stripped of their Sectionals victory after testing positive for performance enhancers, pushing New Directions back into the competition. Tina proposes the idea of a 'Men of McKinley' calendar to raise the last four hundred dollars for Regionals, but not all the guys seem to be on board. Rachel nails an audition for a student film, but when the script calls for a topless scene, she battles with her 'old' self and in typical Rachel form - sings about it, with herself - on 'Torn' by Natalie Imbruglia. Get it? She's torn? Ultimately, Rachel agrees to do the scene.
'The Real (Desperate) Housewives of Columbia County Musical' by Carl Ritchie (book, lyrics, director) and Wayne Moore (music) is a Coward-esque evening from the Taconic Stage Company upstate, which it took by storm in the summer of 2011. Thinly guised as the confessions of four 40-something women on reality TV, this four-character musical spotlights the culture-clash between spoiled, egocentric 'weekender' women and their working class 'townie' counterparts in a rural upstate community. The show has no reason but to delight, which it does with savvy performances, high-heeled lyrics and the poison of its cocktail-party chit-chat dialogue. To share it with a wider audience, Taconic Stage Company will present the piece in its NYC debut March 7 to 28 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, 407 West 42nd Street.

Last night, GLEE made its big Winter return on FOX with Episode 11 of Season Four, titled 'Sadie Hawkins' and a virtually (and sonically) dizzyingly plot-packed and music-bedecked episode written by Ross Maxwell and directed by Bradley Buecker. New characters were introduced, romances were born and furthered and a lot of songs were sung - all in all, a GLEE just right for the midway point of the year.

Happy New Year, Gleeks. ..Wait, what do you mean it's almost February? Please, it's totally still a new year, and with a new year comes - NEW GLEE! Are you psyched, Gleeks!? Tonight, its ladies choice - Sadie Hawkins hits McKinley High, and it's time for all the single ladies to grab a guy and cut a rug with the boy of their choice.
Tina brings up the idea of a Sadie Hawkins dance to the student council, but President Blaine isn't sold on it, but he's out voted by his own inner council. Sam is convinced the Warblers cheated at Sectionals, and keeps presenting theories to Blaine, even if Blaine is completely unsold on the idea. Kurt begins at NYADA and find it's pretty much exactly like high school, and finds himself drawn to a show choir (you can take the boy of New Directions, but you can't take the New Directions out of the boy), but Rachel tries to deter him due to their lack of status among the performing arts social status of NYADA.
