Jon Kimbell to Direct North Shore Musical Theatre's A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Jon Kimbell, former NSMT Artistic Director, returns to Bill Hanney's North Shore Music Theatre(NSMT) to direct A CHRISTMAS CAROL, the show he originally adapted for the NSMT stage in 1989. Whether it's ghostly magical special effects, the dozens of revelers and musicians, or the cold scowl of Ebenezer Scrooge, there is something for everyone in this original, award-winning production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL, playing 13 performances only from Friday, December 5 thru Sunday, December 21, 2014. Press Night scheduled for Friday, December 5 at 7:30pm.

Kansas City Repertory Theatre's A CHRISTMAS CAROL to Open 11/21

Kansas City Repertory Theatre continues its 50th anniversary celebration with the beloved holiday classic, Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, directed by Jerry Genochio. Performances run November 21 through December 26 at UMKC's Spencer Theatre. Since 1981, more than half a million audience members have fallen in love with Dicken's ageless story of the ghostly experiences of the hard-hearted Ebenezer Scrooge on a magical Christmas Eve. Press night is Saturday, November 29th, 8pm curtain.

Cincinnati Playhouse to Present A CHRISTMAS CAROL, 11/26-12/28

Three holiday spirits - Christmas Past, Present and Future - conspire to redeem a miserly humbug at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park as U.S. Bank presents Charles Dickens' iconic holiday story, A CHRISTMAS CAROL. The beloved tale, enjoyed each season by multiple generations of Cincinnatians, will be performed for its 24th year in the Playhouse's Robert S. Marx Theatre from Nov. 26 through Dec. 28.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL to Play Aurora Theatre, 11/28-12/21

The annual holiday classic, Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, is returning to Aurora Theatre for its eighth consecutive year, November 28-December 21. In true storytelling fashion, audiences travel back to 19th century England for an incredibly personal and moving one-man version of the cherished story that grasps the true meaning of the holiday season - the joy of giving. Starring Aurora veteran Anthony P. Rodriguez as the cold and bitter Ebenezer Scrooge with direction by Tony Brown, audiences are invited to rediscover Dickens' oft-told tale that has touched hearts for more than 150 years.

California Roots Festival 2015 Announces First Round of Artists; Runs 5/22-24

The 6th annual California Roots Music and Arts Festival will take place at the historic Monterey County Fairgrounds from May 22-24, 2015. The top tier national festival has become the premier gathering for the progressive US Reggae movement, bringing in over 40,000 fans to the bay area over the Memorial Day weekend.

Flat Rock Playhouse to Present A CHRISTMAS CAROL, 11/20-12/21

Flat Rock Playhouse and Executive Producer, Pardee Hospital will kick off the holiday season with the Charles Dickens' classic tale, A Christmas Carol on the Clyde and Nina Allen Mainstage beginning November 20th and running through December 21st. The perennial favorite literally comes to life on the stage in a spectacular new production featuring all the classic elements with a few new twists. It tells the story of bitter old miser Ebenezer Scrooge and his transformation resulting from supernatural visits by Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future. The industrial setting of 19th century England gives way to a story filled with hope and joy with original songs and amazing puppetry. All the well-known characters retell the magical and uplifting story from "Bah! Humbug!" to "God bless us, everyone!"

POPUP Marketplace to Open 11/12 at L.A. LIVE

?L.A. LIVE will transform into a nighttime craft fair showcasing more than 60 of Los Angeles' best and brightest indie makers, crafters and artists as L.A. LIVE hosts the inaugural POPUP Marketplace, taking place throughout the sports and entertainment district. An evening celebrating and shopping all things local and handmade, POPUP Marketplace craft fair will feature live music and DJs as guests shop from booth to booth, just in time for the holiday season.

Neil Bartlett's A CHRISTMAS CAROL to Play the Old Red Lion, Dec 10-Jan 3

Metal Rabbit Productions, in association with Old Red Lion Theatre, present Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, adapted by Neil Bartlett. Performances run at the Old Red Lion Theatre, 418 St John Street, London EC1V 4NJ, Wednesday 10th December 2014 through Saturday 3rd January 2015. Press Night: Saturday 13th December 2014, 9.30pm.

Duke City Rep to Present ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS MY TWO FRONT TEETH, 12/4-21

Duke City Repertory Theatre presents All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth, written by Catherine Bush and directed by DCRT company member Frank Taylor Green. Taking on the hilarious challenge of adult actors playing children, the show will feature company members Amelia Ampuero, Katie Becker Colon, Ezra Colon, Josh Heard, Lauren Myers, and newcomer Willis Miller as Sister Susan. The production runs December 4-21, 2014 at The Cell Theatre, 700 1st. Street NW.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL to Run 12/5-23 at A Noise Within

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, continues a newly cherished family holiday tradition by presenting its production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. This time-honored tale of forgiveness opens on Friday, December 5 and closes on Tuesday, December 23, 2014. This is the third consecutive year that ANW has presented the timeless holiday classic.

Trustus Theatre's A CHRISTMAS CAROL Returns Next Month

Trustus Theatre is reviving its hit production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol on the Thigpen Main Stage this November. This recent adaptation by Patrick Barlow, the Tony-award winning playwright of The 39 Steps, is a whirlwind telling of the classic holiday story where five actors take on all of the roles. Scrooge and all of his ghostly counterparts will return to the Thigpen Main Stage as A Christmas Carol opens Friday November 21st at 8:00pm. The show will run through December 20th, 2014. Tickets may be purchased at www.trustus.org.

FOX Developing Comedy Based on Will Smith's HITCH Movie

Deadline writes that FOX is working on a new TV series based on Will Smith's 2005 romantic comedy HITCH. Smith is producing with James Lassiter's Overbrook Entertainment, which also produced the film.
