HITCH, from scribes Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont, will be "a workplace comedy that explores dating and sexual politics."
The movie drew nearly $370 million at the box office and featured Kevin James alongside Smith as a professional 'date doctor' who finds that he'll have to try a new strategy to woo the gossip columnist he's interested in.
HITCH is the latest film to head to the small screen this season; among other projects in development are BIG, BACHELOR PARTY, IN GOOD COMPANY, THE ILLUSIONIST, RUSH HOUR, MARLEY & ME and more.
Smith is currently producing the upcoming Annie remake, The Karate Kid 2, Hancock 2 and The American Can.
