Nellie McKay Makes Kennedy Center Debut

The 2018-2019 Renee Fleming VOICES series continues with singer-songwriter Nellie McKay on Friday, February 8, 2019, at 7:30 p.m. in the Terrace Theater. McKay's one-night-only solo set will include songs from her recent Sister Orchid, as well as others in her catalog. Tickets for this performance are $25-$35.

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center announced today that dues to popular demand, a second show for Carol Burnett - An Evening of Laughter and Reflection has been added and will go on sale Friday, December 21 at 10 a.m. Carol Burnett, award-winning actress and best-selling author, is widely recognized by the public and her peers for her work on stage and screen and most notably The Carol Burnett Show. The audience at the one-night- only experience at the Winspear Opera House will enjoy an evening of laughter and reflection with Carol Burnett - a conversation where the audience asks the questions.

In this hilarious one-woman show, Lily performs more than a dozen of her timeless characters, from Ernestine to Mrs. Beasley to Edith Ann. Commonwealth Shakespeare Company and Founding Artistic Director Steven Maler announced the cast of the second production of its 2018-19 Season: Birdy, adapted by Naomi Wallace from the novel by William Wharton, and directed by Steven Maler. The production runs February 27 through March 10 at the Carling-Sorenson Theater at Babson College in Wellesley.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) announced today that legendary TV icon Carol Burnett will receive the first-ever Golden Globe television special achievement award, aptly named the Carol Burnett Award, honoring the highest level of achievement in the medium. A five-time Golden Globe winner and the most decorated of all time in the television category, Burnett will accept the honor at the awards ceremony that will air live coast to coast on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019 from 5-8 p.m. PT/8-11 p.m. ET on NBC from The Beverly Hilton.
