The star of the Mercury Theatre/Curve co-production talks to us about the show, its future - and backstage shenanigans

Since 2004, there have been several other productions of The Hired Man; all of which have achieved similar resounding success. This Curve Theatre Leicester and Mercury Theatre Colchester Co-Production is no different and is nothing short of a masterpiece.

Acclaimed for its epic, nostalgic, funny book and rousing, romantic, award-winning score, The Hired Man is arguably the finest new British musical of the last thirty years.

Nicolas Kent directs the world premiere of Tactical Questioning: Scenes from the Baha Mousa Inquiry, edited by Richard Norton-Taylor. The production, which examines the British Army's handling of detainees in Iraq and the death of Baha Mousa in 2003, will run at the Tricycle Theatre from 2 June until 2 July, with press night on 6 June 2011. Designs are by Polly Sullivan, with lighting by Charlie Hayday and sound and projections by Ed Borgnis.
