The Guthrie Theater today announced casting for Mark St. Germain's two-hander Freud's Last Session-an astute comedy about an imagined meeting between Sigmund Freud and C.S. Lewis that balances intellectual depth with humor and compassion. Rob Melrose (Guthrie: The Acting Company's Julius Caesar, Happy Days and Pen) returns to direct the production that begins performances on February 25 and continues through March 16, 2014.

Becoming Dr. Ruth, a warmhearted, candid and inspiring comedy starring Debra Jo Rupp, ("That 70's Show") written by Mark St. Germain and directed by Julianne Boyd will conclude its off-Broadway engagement at the Westside Theatre (407 W. 43rd Street) on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at 3PM.

This weekend is the second of three that Slidell Little Theatre will be presenting a wonderful holiday musical, THE GIFTS OF THE MAGI with music and lyrics by Randy Courts, Mark St. Germain, and Randy Courts. Theatrical Outfit, kicks off the holidays with the triumphant return of THE GIFTS OF THE MAGI, featuring a top-notch cast, some returning, some new to MAGI. Heidi Cline McKerley directs, music direction is by S. Renee Clark, with choreography by Jeff McKerley. Opening night is Saturday, November 30, 7:30 curtain; previews performances are tonight, November 27 and 29.

Barrington Stage Company, the award-winning regional theatre in downtown Pittsfield, Massachusetts, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, celebrated BSC's New Works Initiative with a BSC in NYC at a benefit last night at the American Airlines Theatre Penthouse. The event was co-chaired by Heather Nolin, Mary Ann Quinson, Rosita Sarnoff and Eda Sorokoff. Among the attendees were Tommy Tune, Julie Budd, and Producers Michael Alden and Jamie deRoy.
