This Monday, August 4th, at 8:00pm the New Globe Theater will be presenting VARIATIONS ON SHAKESPEARE: An Evening of Songs Inspired by the Bard. This concert will highlight songs from musicals based on the works of William Shakespeare with performances by some of Broadway's hottest stars. Broadway World is exclusively giving away a pair of tickets to this nearly sold out event.

Winners of DRAMA DESK AWARDS for the 2007/2008 New York theater season will receive their engraved trophies at a cocktail reception in their honor on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, from 4:00 to 6: 30 PM, at Tony's DiNapoli Restaurant, 147 W. 43rd St, it was announced by Robert R. Blume, Executive Producer of the Drama Desk Awards show, and Bruce Dimpflmaier, General Manager, of Tony's Di Napoli Restaurant.

Last night the 2008 Tony Awards took place at Radio City Music Hall. After the lucky and talented winners gave their speeches to the crowd, they moved onto the press room where they were able to show off their new awards and speak some more about their gratitude.
