Arts & Ideas Presents Mark Morris' PEPPERLAND

The 2018 International Festival of Arts & Ideas will welcome back Mark Morris Dance Group for the New England premiere of Pepperland for two performances, June 21 and 22 at 8PM, at the Shubert Theater (247 College Street).

The Irish Are Coming To Shakespeare Theatre Company in WAITING FOR GODOT

Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) will host Druid, Ireland's most celebrated theatre company, and their critically acclaimed production of Waiting for Godot. Directed by Tony Award-winner Garry Hynes, Druid's production of Samuel Beckett's absurd, anarchic masterpiece will make its regional premiere at the Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street, NW) from April 17 through May 20, 2018 before it travels on to Chicago.

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day At The Annenberg Center, 3/17

Ireland's leading musical export, Teada, returns to Philadelphia after a nine-year hiatus to make their Annenberg Center debut on St. Patrick's Day, Saturday, March 17, at 8:00 PM. Hailed for their 'fierce familiarity with the old ways' (Irish Music Magazine), the group revels in the timeless, expressive force of traditional tunes passed down through generations of musicians. The St. Patrick's Day celebration will also include a free lobby performance by the University of Pennsylvania's Tir na nÓg Irish Dance Troupe and Irish beer specials at the lobby bar. Jacob's Pillow Announces Recipient of New Annual Fellowship In Partnership With Tilles Center

Ephrat "Bounce" Asherie, Artistic Director of Ephrat Asherie Dance, is awarded the inaugural Jacob's Pillow Fellowship at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts at LIU Post. The fellowship includes a $15,000 grant, a one-week residency at Jacob's Pillow's new Pillow Lab, and a residency at LIU Tilles Center. Executive Vice Chairman Roger Tilles was integral in making this new partnership between Jacob's Pillow and Long Island University possible.

Dance-mopolitan Series Presents Megan Williams Dance Projects

The 2018 Dance-mopolitan Artist Series, produced by DANCE NOW, presents Megan Williams Dance Projects in ONE WOMAN SHOW, a post-postmodern dance theater follies for the small stage. Megan Williams finds the roots of her aesthetic DNA in the proto-feminist female archetypes of 30s, 40s and 50s Hollywood and uses them as a lens to view the experience of the 21st-century woman-of a-certain-age. Part memoir, part spectacle, ONE WOMAN SHOW aims to grab the moment and hold on tight. The work features celebrated dance artists Esme Boyce, Robert Mark Burke, Derek Crescenti, Dylan Crossman, John Eirich, Kristen Foote, Chelsea Hecht, Courtney Lopes, and Megan Williams. With costume design by Barbara Erin Delo and sound design by Sam Crawford.

Previews began on February 17 for a February 20 opening.

Emerging Choreographer Series Announced in Partnership with LaGuardia Performing Arts Center

Sadler's Wells Announces 20th Anniversary Season

Sadler's Wells today announced 20 landmark commissions to mark the 20th anniversary of its iconic London theatre. Natalia Osipova, Mark Morris, William Forsythe, Sharon Eyal and Akram Khan are among the internationally acclaimed artists presenting new work, which will be produced or co-produced by Sadler's Wells in 2018.
