The 5th Avenue Theatre, Seattle's premiere musical theatre, is thrilled to announce its line-up for the 2011/12 season.

The Paper Mill Playhouse Board of Trustees (Mark S. Hoebee-Producing Artistic Director) is proud to announce the appointment of Todd Schmidt as Paper Mill Playhouse's Managing Director. 'Paper Mill Playhouse has truly turned a corner,' says Ken Wenger, Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

According to an article by NorthJersey.com, Mark W. Jones, director of the Paper Mill Playhouse, resigned from the Millburn theater on June 24.

The Papermill Playhouse in New Jersey has announced their 2010 - 2011 season, BroadwayWorld has learned. The all-musical season will include productions of Hairspray, the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Curtains, and Les Miserables in a newly conceived production.

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) is pleased to announce the winning selections of the 2009 TRU Voices New Musicals Reading Series. In a series that is unique because it develops new producers as well as new musicals, three works were chosen from submissions by emerging or established producers, as well as writers. The works will be read on Monday, December 14; Tuesday, December 15; and Monday, December 21, 2009 at 7pm at the Players Theatre, located at 115 MacDougal Street, NYC.

Paper Mill Playhouse, the 70-year-old regional theater in Millburn, New Jersey nearly closed its doors a year ago due to a financial crisis. Today, Paper Mill Playhouse is making a come-back as incredible as the New York Giants in the recent Super Bowl. Although the theatre still needs additional contributed support, Paper Mill Playhouse is seeing an all-around resurgence.

Earlier today reports from various sources indicated that lending institutions would come to the rescue of Paper Mill Playhouse during its financial crisis. Although the theater is engaged in accelerated negotiations to obtain a loan that would allow it to finish the season, it is premature to claim that the theater will remain open.
