Geva Theatre Center Launches $10 Million Capital Campaign

Geva Theatre Center, one of the country's leading non-profit, professional regional theatres, currently celebrating its 42nd Season, announced plans today for a $10 million capital campaign to grow its endowment and complete the most extensive renovation of its 49,457 square foot facility since the 1984 conversion and refurbishment of the historic Arsenal building.

On November 26, a beloved Rochester tradition returns to Geva Theatre Center on the Wilson Mainstage. A Christmas Carol, Dickens' classic tale of redemption for the most despised man in London, will awaken your heart and rekindle your spirit this holiday season. This production of A Christmas Carol premiered to great acclaim in 2010 and features a script adapted by Mark Cuddy from Charles Dickens' novella with music and lyrics by Gregg Coffin, composer of Geva favorites, Five Course Love and Convenience.
Cape Playhouse Receives $88,000 Challenge Grant

The Cape Playhouse at the Cape Cod Center for the Arts has received an unprecedented $88,000 Challenge Grant, the largest grant ever received by the not-for-profit professional theater. The record setting matching grant, donated by a family foundation that wishes to remain anonymous, was given to celebrate The Playhouse's recently concluded summer season, its 88th.
