Jami Gertz in Association with Homeboy Industries and The Rosenthal Theater at Inner-City Arts are thrilled to present the world premiere of a new play with music, FIGHTING SHADOWS, co-written and performed by 2015 Emmy nominee Richard Cabral ("American Crime"), with musical collaboration by Rocio Mendoza and directed and co-written by Robert Egan. FIGHTING SHADOWS will preview on Friday, April 15 at 8pm and will open on Saturday, April 16 at 7pm and run through Sunday, May 8 at the Rosenthal Theater at Inner City Arts, 720 Kohler Street in Los Angeles, 90021.

Former pro snooker player John Astley is among the full cast of Richard Bean's new play THE NAP, set to premiere at the Crucible Theatre starring SKINS' Jack O'Connell. The Daily Mail writes that Astley will be making his acting debut when the show begins on March 10 in Sheffield. The production, directed by Richard Wilson, runs through March 26, 2016.

BBC AMERICA announced today the channel will co-produce new thrilling fantasy drama Atlantis to premiere as part of Supernatural Saturday in Fall 2013. Atlantis, created by Howard Overman (Misfits), Julian Murphy (Merlin) and Johnny Capps (Merlin), is set in a time of legendry heroes and mythical creatures. The action packed (13 x 60) series brings to life the vast store of Greek myths and legends re-imagined for a new generation. Atlantis is an Urban Myth Films production for BBC Cymru Wales co-produced with BBC AMERICA.

Matilda the Musical, produced by the RSC and running at the Cambridge Theatre, leads the way with ten nominations - the maximum number of eligible awards for a musical this year. These notably include a collective nomination for Best Actress for all four young actresses who play the title role. Amongst other musical theatre productions Ghost The Musical at the Piccadilly Theatre and the National Theatre's London Road have five and four nominations respectively.
