Second Stage Theatre 2016 Uptown Series' production of ENGAGEMENTS officially opens for an extended run tonight, August 4th.

Second Stage Theatre 2016 Uptown Series' production of ENGAGEMENTS has been extended by one week and will now play through Saturday, August 20.

Continuing the fight to achieve gender parity in the American Theater, LA-based playwright/producer collective THE KILROYS has released its third annual list of industry-recommended new plays.

Anxiety, phobias, mental illness, mysterious diseases and medication are among the issues explored by artists in SICK BY SEVEN, which premieres in Chicago as part of A Red Orchid Theatre's Incubator Series.

Bridge Repertory Theater of Boston concludes its third season with Marisa Wegrzyn's MUD BLUE SKY. Tickets are available for three remaining shows this weekend. Director Bridget Kathleen O'Leary draws colorful performances from Leigh Barrett, Deb Martin, and Veronica Anastasio Wiseman as three world-weary flight attendants, and Kaya Simmons as their adolescent pot-dealer.

Second Stage Theatre will present the world premiere of Sofia Alvarez's FRIEND ART, directed by Portia Krieger, and the New York premiere of Lucy Teitler's ENGAGEMENTS as part of the company's fourteenth annual SECOND STAGE THEATRE UPTOWN SERIES this summer.

?Due to popular demand, A Red Orchid Theatre adds six performances to the run of the world premiere of Sender by Ike Holter, directed by Ensemble Member Shade Murray. Featuring Ensemble Member Steve Haggard, the cast of Sender also includes McKenzie Chinn, Mary Williamson and Steven Wilson. The extension includes Saturday matinees as well as additional weeknight performances. Sender will now run through June 4, 2016. A Red Orchid Theatre is located at 1531 N Wells. Tickets to extension performances go on sale Thursday, May 12, 2016.

The Mutilated will now run through March 13, 2016. The Mutilated features Ensemble Members Lance Baker, Jennifer Engstrom, Mierka Girten, Steve Haggard, Shade Murray, Doug Vickers and Natalie West with Ciera Dawn, Jennifer Glasse, Roy Gonzalez, Mario Hernandez, Morgan Maher, Lauren Vogel and Dominque Worsley.
