Barn Stage Company Announces Cast of CAROUSEL Concert

Presented by The Barn Stage Company, in association with Temecula Presents, this gorgeous production of Rodger's and Hammerstein's Carousel in Concert take the Old Town Temecula stage for 3 nights only! A collaboration with the Temecula Valley Symphony puts a beautiful 32 piece orchestra directly on stage for all to enjoy! The show runs one weekend, March 3, 5 & 6, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater in Old Town Temecula. Glorious songs, a postcard New England seaside setting and a spiritually uplifting story of love and redemption have kept Carousel among the most beloved American musicals ever created. Carousel will be directed by J. Scott Lapp, with Musical Direction by John Mario Di Costanzo and choreography by Gary Iversen.

The Houston Symphony's 2016-17 season, Andres Orozco-Estrada's third season as music director, celebrates more than a century of leadership in Houston's cultural landscape. In its 103rd year, the Houston Symphony announced the upcoming season at Jones Hall on Monday, January 25, in front of several hundred guests and supporters, emphasizing the institution's ongoing collaboration with living composers, a continued focus on new music, a renewed concentration on innovative programming, and world-class musicianship and entertainment. Houston Symphony Music Director Orozco-Estrada, Principal POPS Conductor Michael Krajewski, and Executive Director/CEO Mark C. Hanson were on hand to unveil the new season and share their favorite highlights.

With the launch of the second season of OpenICE, a multi-year program to engage new listeners for contemporary music through an outpouring of programming that is free and open to the public, the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE) announces the appointment of Ryan Muncy (ICE saxophonist) and Alice Teyssier (ICE flutist/vocalist) as the new Co-Directors of OpenICE. Muncy and Teyssier have been members of ICE since 2014 and, in addition to their musical roles, serve in the capacities of Director of Institutional Giving and Artistic Operations Associate, respectively.
