Abingdon Theatre Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Tony Speciale, presents the world-premiere run of A Room of My Own. Written and Directed by Charles Messina, Off-Broadway performances conclude March 13 at Abingdon's June Havoc Theatre (312 West 36th Street). The cast features Tony Award-nominee Mario Cantone (Sex and the City, Laugh Whore, Steve) and Ralph Macchio (Dancing with the Stars, The Karate Kid, My Cousin Vinny).

PITTSBURGH – FUSE@PSO, the popular, genre-bending early evening concert series presented by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, returns Wednesday, March 9 to Heinz Hall with “Stravinsky's Firebird: Remix | Response.”
For this concert, series Creative Director Steve Hackman has crafted a modern dramatization and remix of Stravinsky's ballet The Firebird. Weaved into the Stravinsky are 12 original songs, inspired by the myth of the Firebird and the original 1911 score, that implement modern pop/DJ/electronica production techniques and tell the story in an entirely new and contemporary way. It is at once a live remix, concept album and classical masterpiece. Joining the Pittsburgh Symphony are rapper Jecorey “1200” Arthur, singer Malia Cievtz, drummer Gabriel Globus-Hoenich and a 15-person female choir.

Written and Directed by Charles Messina, the new play has sold-out its run prior to opening on Thursday, February 25. The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) announced today that fashion and basketball aficionado James Goldstein has promised his John Lautner-designed home, its contents, and the surrounding estate to LACMA. The promised gift, which is in a new area of collecting for the museum, includes a James Turrell Skyspace in its extensive landscaped tropical gardens, an infinity tennis court, and an entertainment complex. Mr. Goldstein's extensive fashion collection, works by artists including Ed Ruscha, DeWain Valentine, Bernar Venet, and Kenny Scharf, architectural models of the property, and an iconic Rolls Royce Silver Cloud from 1961 are included in the gift.
