Cien años de Alí Chumacero es el nombre del homenaje con el que se celebrará el centenario del nacimiento del ensayista y poeta nayarita, cuyas jornadas de actividades estarán organizadas por la Secretaría de Cultura a través de la Dirección General de Bibliotecas, la Dirección General de Publicaciones, el Programa Cultural Tierra Adentro y el Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes, por medio de la Coordinación Nacional de Literatura (CNL), en colaboración con el Fondo de Cultura Económica (FCE), el Instituto Cultural de Aguascalientes, el Consejo Estatal para la Cultura y las Artes de Nayarit, el Instituto Sonorense de Cultura, y la Secretaría de la Cultura y las Artes de Yucatán.

Los montajes que lo conforman recorrerán del 5 de julio al 2 de agosto, en el siguiente orden, los estados de Sonora, Sinaloa, Durango, Coahuila, Tamaulipas, Jalisco, Colima, Guanajuato, San Luis Potosí, Michoacán y Veracruz, para finalmente realizar el cierre en la Ciudad de México.

King of Cuba, a new comedy by award-winning writer Cristina Garcia, opens with a press night on Saturday, July 21, and runs through August 19 (previews July 19 & 20) at the historic Berkeley City Club. The summer adventure of the Central Works 2018 season King of Cuba, is developed by Ms. Garcia in the Central Works Writers Workshop featuring the lesbian-gender-bending comedian Marga Gomez, and the Grammy-winning "bongocero" Carlos Caro. All are Cubanx celebrities living in the Bay Area. Directed by Gary Graves, the full cast includes Marco Aponte, Leticia Duarte, Elena Garrity, Marga Gomez, Ben Ortega and Steve Ortiz.

The second and final wave of TEEN CHOICE TM 2018 nominees have been announced and music artists Cardi B and Selena Gomez lead with four nominations each. In film, "The Greatest Showman," "Black Panther" and "Solo: A Star Wars Story" each received four nods. "Riverdale" leads in television with seven nominations, while "Stranger Things" follows with five and "The Bold Type" with four.

A man trapped in his daily routine is introduced to the power of lucid dreaming in the drama film, Zen Dog, available on special edition Blu-ray, VOD, and all digital platforms on June 22 from Future Park. This colorful story stars Kyle Gallner (Veronica Mars, AMERICAN SNIPER) and Adam Herschman (ACCEPTED). Traveling from Lisbon, Portugal on his first visit to Memphis and the South Main Arts District, Art Village Gallery is pleased to announce Mario Henrique's debut solo exhibition at the gallery, Somnium (Daydreams). The show will be on view June 29th through August 31, 2018, with a private viewing for media on Thursday, June 28 from 1pm to 4pm, and a public opening reception during Trolley Night on Friday, June 29 from 6:30pm until 8:30pm. The artist, arriving from Portugal, will be in attendance at both events.
