What's the buzz? Tap your toes and be enchanted by crowd favorite rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar, playing under the stars at Kit Carson Amphitheater from June 15 through 30. The first musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice to be produced for the professional stage, Jesus Christ Superstar has wowed audiences for over 40 years. A timeless work, the rock opera is set against the backdrop of an extraordinary and universally-known series of events but seen, unusually, through the eyes of Judas Iscariot. Loosely based on the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, Superstar follows the last week of Jesus Christ's life. The story, told entirely through song, explores the personal relationships and struggles between Jesus, Judas, Mary Magdalene, his disciples, his followers and the Roman Empire.

Season two of Food Quest, starring co-hosts Mario Lopez and Kim Alexis, is set to premiere on Thursday, June 28 at 10pm ET/PT on FYI, then on Saturday, June 30 at 10am ET/PT on A&E. The show is part of the Home.Made. programming block on both networks- the hub of all things home improvement, inspiration, decoration and DIY.

The second automatic berth into the $6 million Breeders' Cup Classic is on the line this Saturday evening, June 16, at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky., in the Grade 1, $500,000 Stephen Foster Handicap, beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. The race is part of the "Breeders' Cup Challenge Series: Win and You're In, presented by America's Best Racing." The 4th Annual Asian World Film Festival (AWFF) will once again be held in Culver City, with opening night scheduled for Wednesday, October 24, 2018 and closing night Thursday, November 1, it was announced today by the film festival's Executive Director, Georges N. Chamchoum. This year's theme will focus on the female empowerment.

The Latinx Theatre Commons (LTC) proudly presents the 2018 LTC Carnaval of New Latinx Work (Carnaval 2018: ConeXion!) featuring readings of six new Latinx plays paired with Latinx directors, actors, designers and dramaturgs at The Theatre School at DePaul University, 2350 N. (Even if it doesn't turn out quite so sultry…) It covers the gamut from Handel to Puccini, from serial podcasts to light opera, from dramma serio to musical comedy, with an added emphasis on Leonard Bernstein as the music world celebrates his 100th birthday.

In 2018 on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the birth of legendary choreographer Marius Petipa, American Ballet Theatre presented the premiere of Alexei Ratmansky's meticulous historical reconstruction of the full-length Harlequinade. His wife, Tatiana Ratmansky, assisted him and appeared as the Good Fairy in some performances.

Netflix has acquired worldwide film rights to Gulfstream Pictures Production's The Last Summer, an ensemble romantic comedy with an all-star cast of young actors. The film will be directed by Bill Bindley.

National New Play Network, an alliance of professional theaters that collaborate in innovative ways to develop, produce, and extend the life of new plays, announces the opening of the second leg of its 80th Rolling World Premiere (RWP). Red Bike by Caridad Svich opens at Simpatico Theatre in Philadelphia on June 8 and runs through June 24. The Roll, which started at PYGmalion Productions (April 20-May 5 in Salt Lake City), will continue to Know Theatre of Cincinnati (January 11-February 2, 2019), and The Wilbury Theatre Group (April 11-21, 2019 in Providence). Red Bike was presented at NNPN's 2017 National Showcase of New Plays, hosted by Orlando Shakespeare Theatre.

Telemundo's 'Un Nuevo Dia' wraps up the week with the exclusive visit from the members of the famous Mexican group Garibaldi, the musical phenomenon from the 80s and 90s, in celebration of their 30th anniversary. Hosts Marco Antonio Regil, Rashel Diaz, Adamari Lopez and Zuleyka Rivera, will welcome the famous group members Luisa Fernanda Lozano, Katia Llanos, Paola Toyos, Charly Ortega, Xavier Ortiz, and Adrian Irueste for the first time together on U.S. Hispanic television, who will announce their tour “Garibaldi, que siga la fiesta” (Garibaldi continues the party), and will join group member Patricia Manterola, who is serving as a guest cohost of the morning program this week. The popular group is visiting the morning show's new home at Telemundo Center for the first time to share their stories throughout the last three decades as well as their music hits, in addition to many surprises for viewers.
