The New York Comedy Festival (NYCF) announced today a new partnership with the People's Choice Awards that will provide two unique opportunities for both comedians and fans to participate in this year's festival. For the first time ever, festival-goers will have the chance to vote on and present an official People's Choice Award during the 'New York's Funniest Stand-Up' competition, an event that showcases the most talented newcomers and established comedians in New York. The winner of the competition will receive the prestigious crystal People's Choice Award and will be recognized during the 2010 People's Choice Award live broadcast on CBS.

The critically-acclaimed show, Brand New Day, returns to the Metropolitan Room for three more shows this Fall.

Jim Breuer, one of the most outrageous comedians in the U.S., is coming to Bay Street. Known for his incredible stand-up performances, charismatic stage antics and impressions, various television appearances, movie roles and his Sirius Satellite Radio show, Breuer will delight and entertain on July 27 at 8:00 p.m. as part of Bay Street Theatre's Monday Night Comedy Club.

The Off-Broadway hit comedy sensation of celebrities reading from their fellow celebs' biographies is coming to Bay Street and is sure to have audiences roaring. Celebrity Autobiography: In Their Own Words will be at Bay Street on July 20 at 8:00 p.m. as part of Bay Street Theatre's Monday Night Comedy Club.

Bay Street Theatre kicks off the month of July with a bang as the legendary Betty Buckley returns for three performances of a new and critically acclaimed show 'Broadway By Request.' The 4th of July weekend fun begins on Friday, July 3 (Ms. Buckley's birthday concert) at 8pm, with additional shows on Saturday, July 4th at 5pm and 7pm. 'Broadway By Request' features songs and behind the scene stories from Buckley's many Broadway hits as requested by the audience.

David Brenner, stand-up comedian, author, and founder and creator of funnydeli.com is coming to Bay Street. Recognized as a political pundit who can be seen regularly on television news shows, Brenner will find the humor in current events on July 13 at 8:00 p.m. as part of Bay Street Theatre's Monday Night Comedy Club.

eBay brought its online shopping experience to life with 'Let's Make a Daily Deal' a live game show in Times Square. During the game, hosted by 'Sex and the City' actor and comedian Mario Cantone, shoppers found out just how much they can save with eBay by competing in fun, price-guessing challenges. On Tuesday, June 23rd, legendary game show host Monty Hall joined Cantone as a special guest co-host. The third annual GAYFEST NYC, the country's premier festival of new gay-themed plays, will be presented June 3-6, 2009 at the Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex, 312 West 36th Street, New York City. The not-for-profit GAYFEST NYC, Inc. develops new LGBT works for world stages and film and television production and provides in-school elective programs and scholarships for students of Harvey Milk High School. Since June 2007, GAYFEST NYC has presented seventeen scholarships to graduating seniors.

As previously announced, The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs will celebrate the 23rd Annual MAC Awards on Monday, May 18th at 7:30pm at B.B. King Blues Club (237 West 42nd St, Between Broadway 8th Avenue).
