Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, is proud to announce initial casting for the 2016 season.

Just announced, Broadway couple Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley will be honored at the Cancer Support Community's 2016 Spring Celebration.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, 3-time Tony Award nominee Marin Mazzie will assume the role of Anna Leonowens in its Tony Award-winning production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's The King and I beginning Tuesday, May 3 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street). The star just announced that she'll be answering questions from fans in a live chat on Monday morning:

Hoff-Barthelson Music School's 2015-2016 Master Class Series continues with clarinetist Alan Kay on Sunday, May 1, 2016, at 6:00 p.m., at Hoff-Barthelson Music School, 25 School Lane, Scarsdale.  Mr. Kay will coach Hoff-Barthelson Music School clarinet students in the seventh of nine Master Classes to be given during the 2015-2016 season. The public is invited to attend and observe the Master Class free of charge.

The women took the center stage last night at The Ladies Who Sing Sondheim- a gala benefit for Off-Broadway's esteemed Classic Stage Company. The evening was and directed by Tony Award winner John Doyle, who will become the company's new Artistic Director in July.  The evening included performances from Sondheim's canon by Patti LuPone (Gypsy), Victoria Clark (The Light in the Piazza), Cynthia Erivo (The Color Purple), Joaquina Kalukango (The Color Purple), Judy Kuhn (Fun Home, CSC's Passion), Marin Mazzie (Kiss Me, Kate) and Alexandra Silber(Fiddler on the Roof).
