As BroadwayWorld previously reported, 3-time Tony Award nominee Marin Mazzie will assume the role of Anna Leonowens in its Tony Award-winning production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's The King and I beginning Tuesday, May 3 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street).

She still has some time to prepare for her Broadway return, but she's already good to go when it come to Anna's biggest costume challenge- the hoop skirt. She writes on Instagram: "A little "hoop shot" in honor of March Madness. @kingandibway #kingandi#costumefittingfun"

The King and I

Ms. Mazzie will play her first performance in THE KING AND I on the same night that Daniel Dae Kim makes his Broadway debut as The King of Siam.

MARIN MAZZIE was nominated for Tony Awards for her performances in Kiss Me, Kate (Outer Critics Circle Award), Ragtime (Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations), and Passion.
