BWW Interview: Ford's Theatre RAGTIME Director Peter Flynn

Nina Simone once said "You can't help it. An artist's duty, as far as I'm concerned, is to reflect the times." But what do you do when a piece of art from 20 years ago, based on a piece of art from 40 years ago, about events which took place 100 years ago, reflects the times of today? The newest production of RAGTIME opens this week at the historic Ford's Theatre in Washington D.C., and is directed by Peter Flynn.

Kelli O'Hara and Jason Danieley Set for MasterVoices' 2017 Spring Benefit

Marin Mazzie to Headline 2017 Montclair State PRSSA Concert to Benefit Autism New Jersey

Fresh off a triumphant return to Broadway in 'The King and I' after battling and beating ovarian cancer, actress and singer Marin Mazzie will headline the Montclair State University PRSSA concert to benefit Autism New Jersey on Monday, April 3 at Memorial Auditorium at Montclair State.  The performance will run from 7:30-9:30 pm.  Joining her will be comic Sunda Croonquist and mentalist Manlow. 

Nancy Opel-Led CURVY WIDOW Will Land at George Street Playhouse in May

George Street Playhouse has announced that the new musical comedy Curvy Widow, starring Broadway's Nancy Opel (GSP's The Toxic Avenger, Broadway's Honeymoon in Vegas), will be the fifth and final show of the New Brunswick theatre's 2016-17 season.  The show runs May 2-21, 2017, with opening night scheduled for May 5, 2017.

Tony Award winner and Metropolitan Opera baritone Paulo Szot will join Music Director Alan Gilbert, mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato, and the New York Philharmonic for the Orchestra's New Year's Eve celebration, Today, December 31, 2016, at 8:00 p.m., an evening of American classics including music by Rodgers & Hammerstein, Lerner & Loewe, and Copland.

12th Annual Fred Ebb Award Presented Tonight to Thomas Mizer & Curtis Moore

The Fred Ebb Foundation (Mitchell S. Bernard, Trustee) in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) will present the twelfth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters to Thomas Mizer and Curtis Moore, tonight from 6-8pm at a by-invitation-only ceremony in the Penthouse Lounge of The American Airlines Theater. The award, named in honor of the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb, will be presented by Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley.
