George Axelrod's classic American comedy THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH opens the season in high style with Equity Actor and Ensemble Member Daren Scott as Richard Sherman, a 1950's advertising man who sends his wife and son off to the beach for summer vacation and is left alone in his New York City apartment with an overactive imagination.

The CAPA Summer Movie Series, the longest-running classic film series in America, celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2010 with an impressive assembly of classics, cult favorites, and much beloved films. Asolo Rep announces the selection of Steven Drukman's new play The Innocents for a fully staged world premiere in 2011. Chosen from five plays developed during Asolo Rep's 2010 UNPLUGGED new play festival, The Innocents will open in April 2011 as part of the repertory season and in conjunction with the 2011 UNPLUGGED festival of new plays.

Steve Julian, host of KPCC's Morning Edition, will lead an audience talkback on the subject of spousal abuse following the June 26 performance of Wendy Graf's play, Behind the Gates. A former police officer, Mr. Julian wrote the domestic violence policy for the Baldwin Park Police Department in 1987, when California codified new laws prohibiting spousal abuse.

Three films on CAPA's 2010 Summer Movie Series at the Ohio Theatre will offer audio description for visually impaired patrons at no extra charge. Audio description allows visually impaired theatre-goers to hear a scene-by-scene narration of the on-screen action while they listen to movie dialogue.
