Rosen announced today that Broadway's first a cappella musical In Transit will star David Abeles (Once), 2016 'America's Got Talent' contestant Moya Angela (Ghost The Musical), 2012 American Beatbox Vice Champion Steven 'HeaveN' Cantor (Broadway Debut), Justin Guarini (Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown; 'American Idol'), Telly Leung (Allegiance), Erin Mackey (Amazing Grace), Gerianne Pe?rez (Broadway Debut), Margo Seibert (Rocky), Chesney Snow (Broadway Debut), James Snyder (If/Then), Mariand Torres (Broadway Debut), Nicholas Ward (On the Town), Adam Bashian (Broadway Debut), Laurel Harris (Beautiful) and Aurelia Williams (Broadway Debut).
Evita begins Sept. 9 and runs through Oct. 2, at KC Rep's mainstage Spencer Theatre, located on the UMKC campus. KC Rep, Kansas City's premiere equity theater, has a reputation for energizing classic musicals with fresh infusions of perspective and creativity. 'This production is about framing the conversation during this election year about who we are and what are we becoming,' says Rosen. 'Evita is about a woman who came from nowhere and through her political will and genius, brought about revolution still being felt today. Japan can't get enough of PRINCE OF BROADWAY (see video below), and that's too bad, because there are just five performances left at Osaka's Umeda Arts Theatre. On opening night, after a solid ten minutes of applause after the final curtain, Prince and the rest of the creative team went out one more time. Despite the show's success overseas, an official announcement has not yet been made regrading a run on Broadway... but that hasn't kept us from wondering. So what's next for PRINCE?
